jack.english@sgcib.com Top 10 List - Favorite Two Cards Oer Civilization My son and I play Duel Masters together. We have tried many different deck types. He has always preferred a Light & Fire combination while I (who got the leftover cards) used Nature and Dark. Since we had Water cards left over, we have made a water deck to play with as well. Since we have tried to play with and learn about each of the civilizations, I have my own favorite cards in each. Many of them haven't made many top 10 lists wo I decided to send them in. LIGHT La Ura Giga: This is an extremely flexible card that can be used effectively in many situations. SInce it only costs 1 mana, it can be summoned on the first turn. Doing so effects the early game strategy of your opponent. Like any blocker, it can get in the way of any attacking creature to buy time. The low cost means it can usually be summoned at any point in the game and often along with another card. Lah: I love this card. The extra 500 (it has an attack of 5500) reminds me of the early value of Mechanical Chaser in Yugioh. It is a unique attacker since everything else with a cost of 5 is either a 5000 attacker or has other conditions (e.g., power attacked but only with 5000 defense). DARK Bloody Squito: At a cost of 2 mana, the 4000 defense is a quick, easy to summon blocker. Unfortunately, it dies after a battle but it does have early inhibitive value to your opponent. Zagaan: I like the name and like the look but I love the fact that it doesn't require an evolution, costs 6 mana, has a 7000 attack and is a double breaker. WATER Candy Drop: This is my second favorite cards in the game. It is relatively inexpensive (3 mana) and can't be blocked. That is a great feature that can be used at virtually any stage in the battle and is particularly useful early in the game. Crystal Lancer: I learned to value this card in an odd way. When I began playing Sempai Legends, this card always created problems for me. It can't be blocked AND is a double breaker. It is an evolution card but there are many Liquid People that can be used in a Water deck. FIRE Bolshack Dragon: This is another card I like because it doesn';t require an evolution and it is a big creature. At a cost of 6 mana, it has a base attack of 6000. Since any card with a 6 mana cost won't be used early in the game, there are likely to be any number of cards in the graveyard when you get out Bolshack. That's actually good news since this card gains +1000 attack for every fire card in your graveyard. Metalwing Skyterror: This is currently my favorite card in the game. It does not require an evolution; it is 'only' a rare card so must people can get it quickly for their decks; it is a double breaker; AND it kills one blocker each time it attacks without even having to engage it in battle! NATURE Barkwhip: With a mana cost of two, this is the quickest evolution card to get out. Since it is a Beast Folk, there are plenty of other Beast Folk cards to use in your deck - and many of them will speed up your mana. With such a low cost, Barkwhip can come out early or even on the same turn you put out another low cost Beast Folk to immediately get past the lost round with summoning sickness. If all of that weren't enough, when Barkwhip is tapped, each Beast Folk gains power attacker. Bronze-Arm Tribe: This is my least favorite card on this list but I had decided to suggest two per civilization. I use this card since it is a Beast Folk (for Barkwhip) and it gets out an extra mana which I value in the early game. For whatever reasons, I have not yet become a big fan of spell cards (e.g., Holy Awe, Death Smoke, Natural Snare, Tornado Flame, ...). I hope you enjoyed this list.
