Top 10 List of Control Cards-Sky Hello, This my first time contributing to pojo.com. This Top 10 is about "Control" cards so first I will define what I mean by "Control". Control in a CCG, in my mind, is the ability to take away options and give yourself time to lay something great on the table. The most effective "Control" in this game is creature removal (since you can't effectively kill mana or discard their hand, yet). So here is my top 10 control. 10. Miele, Vizier of Lightning- I know what you're saying, "How is this little 1000 creature control." Well its because of its ability. For 3 mana you get a creature and the ability to tap a creature and since in this CCG the most basic way to eliminate creatures is battle, you can only battle (for the most part) tapped creatures. 9. Gatling Skyterror- I'm big on creatures with cool abilities. With this guy and maybe even Toel, Vizier of Hope you can clear the board of your opponents untapped creatures turn after turn and still have have the Skyterror survive because he untaps at the end of your turn. 8. Vampire Silphy- Destroys those annoying weenie creatures and can clear the board against fast aggressive decks. 7. Saucer-Head Shark- Returns those annoying weenies back to hands. 6. Teleportation- Can return up to 2 hateful creatures back to hands. 5. Death Smoke- It maybe conditional but its cheaper then most. 4. Solar Ray- Cheap with Shield Trigger can help eliminate a creature in battle. 3. Terror Pit- It may cost a bit but Shield Trigger makes it well worth it and its unconditional destruction. 2. Holy Awe- Depending on how you build up your own creatures you can eliminate a lot of their creatures in battle and the Shield Trigger can be a life saver. 1. Spiral Gate- Its very cheap for 2 mana and with Shield Trigger to it is awesome. It is Duel Masters equivalent to Boomerang in M:TG. Four of these in your deck with Teleportation and other control you can start controlling on turn 2 and make sure they can't put down a real threat until you yourself put down a biggie that can cause them pain. I hope you find this list informative and I welcome any comments. I am not afraid being proved wrong so if you disagree I would like to hear about it but please be respectful. Well thats it, my next contribution will be evaluating the two promo evolution cards and possible uses. Thanks, Sky skyhawk21@comcast.net
