Hello all of my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters out there! I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend! I completed my Master Commentary Challenge recently, so make sure to check that out if you haven't already! Here at Pojo's Card of the Day, we're having a short week. We'll only be doing three reviews this week due to the holiday, vacations, and the like. So let's try to make this week count with some interesting tech cards that may see some play after the release of Shattered Alliances. Today's card is Gigahorn Charger.

Name: Gigahorn Charger
Civilization:
Nature
Type: Creature
Race:
Tusker
Level:
5
Power:
3000
Flavor Text: A gigahorn is never truly alone. One howl will bring the herd thundering to its aid.
Rarity: Rare
Set Number: 144/165 l 3RIS

Abilities:

Call the Herd- When this creature enters the battle zone, search your deck. You may take a creature that has power 5000 or more from your deck, reveal that creature, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your deck.

Gigahorn Charger was one of the first key cards out there that allows you to search through your deck and choose something that you might need. Conveniently enough, you can play this card to search for your turn six play or even further beyond that!

In terms of stats we're not really looking at much. We have a level 5 with 3000 power and it's a Tusker to boot... not a ton of support there yet outside of an evolution creature. This card isn't meant to abuse those things though, it's meant to get you a big beefy creature when you need it... (why am I getting a visual of those J.G. Wentworth commercials?).

So this guy is going to be another copy of Crystal Memory in most cases... but for creatures. When you need those big plays like Squillace Scourge or even a Monarch, this card gets you it. Obviously you'll need to be aware that there will be cards that may discard what you take, but that's a chance that you need to be willing to take, after all, your opponent can only discard so many of your power cards before they lose steam.

Expect this card to be floating around adding consistency to big decks like Kalima Control or Eternal Haven.dek.  The combos you can pull off with this and Necrose, Nightmare Bloom, Hive Queen, Heretic Prince Var-rakka, and even Khordia, the Soul Tyrant are pretty insane. So get yours now, they could see a potential price hike in the next few weeks.

Constructed: 3.75/5.00 (A great addition to a deck that likes getting answers to your everyday creature problems!)
Limited: 2.50/5.00 (The power level for this creature isn't that great and it makes you get a bigger creature from deck, generally meaning it's going to cost more mana to play, and that's not usually a winning strategy in limited.)

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Make sure to check out my channel for new content including my "Master Commentator" contest video! Until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!
