Hey everyone! I'm running a little
tight on time so I'll try to make this a quick one
today! First of all, check out my channel, I just
posted a match against a fellow YouTuber on my page!
Alright, today's card is one that will create a lot
of new decks, specifically ones that run a lot of
blockers. Let's take a look at Panopter!

Whenever one of your other creatures that has
"Blocker" enters the battle zone, you may draw a
card.
Panopter's stats aren't horrible
but they're nothing that great either since it's a
Level 5 with 4000 power. You could get that same
result for three mana with Jade Monitor! Panopter
gives you an ability that you will likely see a
benefit from almost immediately, the ability to draw
extra cards every time you play a blocker!
I think the first thing that comes
to my mind is abusing this card with a bunch of tiny
blockers like Cyber Sprite, Thunder Cruiser, or
Chasm Entangler. This allows you to instantly
replace those cards with another card in your hand
and it provides you with plenty of extra defense.
Now imagine if you're playing a card called "Rally
the Reserves" in that deck... All of those little
creatures can now freely attack! This card can set
up a Rally deck like never before.
I would expect some players to
give this deck a try, however, I can't say how
competitive it will be in our tournament
environment, but it'll be interesting to see!
Ratings:
Constructed: 3.75/5.00 (This card is great in a Rally deck but needs
to stay in the battle zone if you want to gain any
advantage off of it. Also since it's played on turn
five, it leaves it open to be banished by Death
Smoke or similar other spells.)
Limited: 2.50/5.00 (Honestly, I'm not sure how many effective
blockers we'll have in this set as of yet but it
relies too heavily on comboing pieces together to be
effective in limited.)
