Hello again my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters! Today we’re taking a look at a card that has started to phase out the use of Tatsurion the Unchained… and this card comes in a starter deck! Let’s take a look at General Skycrusher.

Abilities:
Double Breaker (This creature breaks 2 shields.)
Skycrusher’s Saber- When this creature enters the battle zone, banish target enemy creature that has power 3000 or less.
Skycrusher’s Command- Whenever one of your other creatures attacks, it gets “Powerful Attack +3000” until the end of the turn. (A creature that has “Powerful Attack +3000” gets +3000 power while attacking.)

Plenty of text on Skycrusher but that shouldn’t steer you away from using him. This guy is a 8000 power creature with Double Breaker which is decent for a level 7 creature. When he enters the battle zone you can choose one of your opponent’s creatures that’s 3000 power or less and banish it! This is one of the effects that is reminiscent of Tatsurion the Unchained, except this effect is 1000 power weaker, however, Skycrusher easily makes up for it with his additional 2000 attack power as well as an additional effect.

Skycrusher’s Command may seem familiar to one of my former “Tech Card” choices, Twin-Cannon Maelstrom. This effect makes using that card almost obsolete since this ability gives your other creatures Powerful Attack +3000 instead of Maelstrom’s +2000!

If you combine all three of these things into one card, you have a cheaper and more versatile version of Tatsurion the Unchained, all while having a stronger and more difficult to kill creature in the battle zone! This card has seen some recent play with the release of the starter deck and I have a feeling that it will see a lot more play in the months to come. This is a very solid card that is easily accessible for those players who had the difficulty of finding Tatsurion the Unchained in the past.

Constructed: 4.00/5.00 (A great card that boosts your other creatures, offers removal and has a huge body. Well worth the $10-12 you spend on the deck!)

Limited: 4.00/5.00 (Sealed deck tournament? Why not! Skycrusher will easily deal with your opponent’s creatures!)
