Okay, first off, school has been a pain.. Especially since it isn't the school that I was going to.  So sorry for the lack of recent reviews.  I know everyone missed me.  xD..  Second, it's going to be a short review for today (and maybe for awhile).

Name: Dark Reversal
Cost: 2
Civilization: Darkness
Type: Spell
Rules Text:
Shield Trigger Shield trigger (When this spell is put into your hand from your shield zone, you may cast it immediately for no cost.)
Return a creature from your graveyard to your hand.
Mana Number: 1
Artist: Nottsuo
Rarity: U
Collector Number: 52
Set: Base Set

Civilization: Darkness  Ahh.. Darkness has some cards that can combo well with this card.  Especially the Slayers and blockers like Bloody Squito.  Light also has a card that can work with this, and it is Cecillbill's "signature" card, Phal Eega.  Once Phal dies, use Dark Reversal to get it back to your hand, play Phal and get Dark Reversal back.

Cost: Short and sweet... 2 + Shield Trigger = a.w.e.s.o.m.e.  Seriously, this card is so overlooked that it isn't funny (stop laughing, it is a figure of speech, people)  I personally am thinking about putting this into a certain deck that I may be running a Continentals.

Effect: Well I pretty much explained it.  Return a creature for it's price is well, priceless (and it is if it is in your shields).  I've already told you a combo, can you think of some more.  There probably is some out there just waiting for you to find them.  So start looking, maybe it will lead you on your way to victory.

Constructed: 3.5/5  Certain decks can benefit from it greatly.  Want to reuse Merfolk, go ahead.  What about Corile, knock yourself out.  Just so cool isn't it.
Limited: 3/5  You know with all the fatties, you could reuse them if they get Pitted.  But there can be other choices out there.  So make good decisions.
Overall: 3.25/5  *must stop with 3's*

Well, that is all.. Sorry for such a brief review and hopefully I can find time to write an article since I am due one.

Shield TriggerShield trigger (When this spell is put into your hand from your shield zone, you may cast it immediately for no cost.)
Return a creature from your graveyard to your hand.
Rarity: Uncommon
Set: Base Set

Cost:

The cost is well worth the effect. Need that Crystal Paladin that got Pit? Opponent has no blockers and Pyrofighter is staring you in the eyes from the graveyard?

Effect:

Grabbing a creature from your graveyard into your hand helps, especially because there is no 'Monster Reborn' type Duel Masters card that can ressurect your cards to the field from the grave. I would like Dark Reversal better if it had a body though.

Limited:

There are so many useful things you can grab with this, like Rothus, Bone Spider, Aqua Hulcus, BAT, etc that you can grab with this.

8/10

Constructed:

Terror Pit, Death Smoke, Meteosaur, other destruction running around seem like a waste when you use 2 mana to bring it back with this. Though things like Corile, bouncing, Natural Snare, etc won't be wasted by this card.

6/10

Well, this is gonna be a short review as it is almost time for school. Dark reversal is pretty much crap to me... Whoopee, get a creature back. If you want revival, use jack viper. I don't really like shield triggers that are not offensive(even though I do use a few). There are better two drops from darkness like squito or 2 marrow ooze. I hope you don't have to use this by turn 2 though............ I really don't have much to say about this card...........

Constructed: 2/5 Use viper............

Limited: 3/5 Unless you pull something you REALLY want to revive, it doesn't really matter.

I promise the next review will be longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah yes, some old-school goodness.  This card saw a good amount of play during the base set, then sorta dropped of the map after a while.  Lately, though, I've been seeing more of it. I'm not sure being schooled now by the old school card is such a good thing...

Dark Reversal
Cost: 2
Civilization: Darkness
Card Type: Spell

•    Shield Trigger
Take one creature from your graveyard and add it to your hand.
Mana Generated: 1
Rarity: Common
Card Number: whocares?/110

Let's discuss this for a spell.  I'll tell you now, it's a nice card.  Austin

Civilization: This is a darkness card. Many darkness creatures kill themselves, or kill other creatures by their own effect, so it stands to reason that they would have a spell to revive them.  That's a relief.

Cost: Two mana is cheap.  Dang cheap.  Oh, and being a shield trigger, it might even be free.  For what you could get with this, two whole mana is more than reasonabe.

Abilities:  First, it can be a shield trigger.  As a bonus, using this as a shield trigger won't cost you the hand advantage it normally would, since the next effect gives a card to your hand anyway...

Thuswise, on to this ability.  YOu are allowed to return any one creature from your graveyard to your hand.  The only time you won't want to use this ability is when you know your opponent is about to waste your hand, and you can't use the creature in time.  That, and when there are no creatures in the graveyard.  But that's a gimme.  You guys all knew that, I'm sure...

THE REVIEW

Constructed overview: Let's look over this overlooked card.  This card can be dang helpful last game.  You can fetch a Corile out of your graveyard to further annoy your opponent.  You can fetch a speed attacker as an evil little surprise.  You can take back that Crystal Paladin to send your opponent's blockers back to square one.  I could go on forever, like the energizer bunny, but that would drive so many people crazy that I'd be beaten to death.  "Simple battery", the crime report would say.  *Prepares to die for that one*  Anyway, it's a nice card.  Try it in a deck with some dark, you might like it.  4/5

Limited overview: Eh, it's not as good here, since there aren't as many good targets, but it's still useable.  DId your opponent Death Smoke that fattie you pulled, or that Snubz Kin that was protecting you?  Take the card back and let the fun begin again!  4 /5

FOR THOSE THAT DON'T KNOW...

Anyhow, I'm doing a little contest at the moment.  Look at the underlined part of my review (not the next time line, but something else), and tell me what that line is from, or where I got it from.  Today, I told you to figure out next weeks theme, by looking at this weeks.  The first person to e-mail me five times with the correct answers will win a copy of the card we reviewed that day, plus a little... Bonus.

Nobody got to me with Monday's question, but it's still open for entry.  As for today's hidden underlined comment, there's a name hidden in this report, denoting a Team Galactic Quest member who has used this card for as long as I remembered.  It's well hidden though, good luck finding it.  To win, you have to tell me where in the report I hid it/how I hid it.  Otherwise, you might guess.

Next time in the review:  Dis' card doesn't like the grave!
