What If: Vegeta actually had been willing to fuse with Goku (via fusion
dance) in order to take down Kid Buu?
I think then that there's a very strong possibility that Earth never gets
destroyed. After the scuffle with Super Buu inside Buu's head, Vegeta would rip
out the fat buu so he and Goku can escape. They would fuse after escaping in
order to conserve time with the fusion. Upon emerging, Dende would yell out
"GOKU! We're down here!". So Goku & Vegeta would allow Dende to heal and awaken
Piccolo, Gohan, Goten & Trunks. If Buu went to fight them then he would surely
see Mr. Satan and Fat Buu would be spat out. They would watch as Vegeta and Goku
formed Gogeta and his power level (which is lower than Vegito's would be) would
be around 525,000,000 (Kid Buu = 500,000,000). Then Gogeta would get tired of
fighting Buu and he would turn Super Saiyan (Power Level Estimation =
730,000,000) and obliterate Buu. Then using Kibito Kai's Instant Transmission,
the whole gang would go to Namek and use the Dragon Balls to revive everyone
killed since the morning of the Martial Arts Tournament. Then they would wish
for all of the damage done to the Earth since the morning of the Tournament to
be undone. Then they would allow Porunga to go and save the last wish for
another time (this fits into the sequence of events since only 1 wish was made
in Dragon Ball GT to restore the planet earth after the Black Star dragonballs
blew it up.) Then the timeline would go as normal.
