Welcome to Pojo's Dragon Ball Web

Cartoon
First I'll start off by saying one of the most obvious things. The Dragon Ball series are not cartoons, they are anime, also known as Japanimation (Japanese Animation). There are three series, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. Dragon Ball GT was not done by Akira Toriyama and co, but rather by TOEI. Akira Toriyama did help out with some of the art in that series though. Most people complained, however, when Dragon Ball Z was picked up for a dub by FUNimation. What they did to the dub is absolutely horrible, but really, it wasn't their fault. Saban Entertainment is the one who forced everything upon FUNimation, making them take out the blood and the words death, heaven, hell, you know the drill(replaced by "the next dimension"). On average, about 19% of the episodes were cut out overall. After FUNimation dubbed two seasons, however, things changed. When they started working on the third season, they were no longer with Saban, but in the process lost all of their voice actors (Brian Drummond, we'll miss your Vegita voice ;_;). In Season 3, they added the word death and put SOME blood in, but the new voice actors were horrible. FUNimation, hire some real actors please ;_;. I know this section is skimpy right now, I will beefen it up a bit this weekend ^_^.
