Episode 126 - Shenlong Returns

Series: Dragon Ball
Version: Japanese subbed
Episode # and title: 126. “Shenlon Returns”
Name: Goten6641

Summary:

At Kami-sama’s palace, Son Goku, Mr. Popo, and Kami-sama are gathered. Mr.  Popo says that Kami can breath life into Shenlon, who was killed by Piccolo Daimioh. Kami brings a miniature statue of Shenlon outside. The statue is shattered. Kami comments on how torn up Shenlon is. Kami asks Popo if he can rebuild Shenlon, and Mr. Popo says that it is no problem. Mr. Popo sits down and starts gluing together the broken pieces of Shenlon, as Goku watches.

Meanwhile, below Kami’s palace, at the top of Karin Tower, Yajirobe is watching the sky. Karin comes and notices a strange lump on Yajirobe’s stomach. Karin unties Yajirobe’s gi, and a bag of Senzu Beans that Yajirobe stole fall out. Karin says “No wonder you can’t ride the Kintoun.” (Kintoun is Flying Nimbus for you dub fans). Yajirobe is mad at Karin, and tells him that he should be doing “cat stuff.” Yajirobe asks Karin if he is a cat, and Karin responds by licking his paw.

Back at Kami’s palace, Mr. Popo has finished putting together the Shenlon statue, and he stands back, telling Goku to do so as well. Kami fires a beam at the finished statue, and there is a large bright light that floats into the air. The bright light heads toward Earth to give life to the Dragon Balls.

Meanwhile, on Earth, at Kame House, Yamcha and Tenshinhan are sitting outside. Inside, Umigame (Sea Turtle) and Oolong are sitting at a table.  Oolong is reading a book, which seems to be funny, on the count of he is laughing. Bulma turns on the shower, and tries to pick out a new pair of panties to wear. She picks up some capsules, and hopes that Kuririn, KameSennin, and Chaozu come back to life. Suddenly, Bulma notices 6 Dragon Balls on the table beginning to glow. Outside, Yamcha and Tenshinhan notice a Dragon Ball glowing. Bulma walks outside with her 6 Dragon Balls. The Dragon Balls have returned to life. Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Lunch, Bulma, Oolong, Puar, and Umigame gather around the Dragon Balls, and summon Shenlon. The sky turns dark, and lightning flashes throughout the sky. Shenlon rises from the Dragon Balls. Shenlon tells them all that Son Goku is at Kami’s palace, and is going to be trained by Kami for 3 years. Shenlon tells them that Goku was the reason that he is now back to life. Shenlon asks what their wish is. They wish for everyone who was killed by Piccolo Daimioh and his minions to be brought back to life. After a while, Shenlon says it cam grant the wish.

Elsewhere, in a desert village, Namu (a competitor from the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai) rises from his coffin, making his fellow villagers happy. Bacterian (a competitor from the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai who has never bathed before) rises from a pile of trash. In a temple, King Chyapa (a competitor from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai) has returned to life, and someone from the temple says that it is a miracle. At a grave, a young woman is placing flowers by a grave, when suddenly Man Wolf (a competitor from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai who can transform into a wolf and back from the full moon) rises from the grave (he is in human form). Elsewhere, Giran (a dinosaur competitor from the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai) has returned to life, and is surprised that he lost the hole in his stomach. The people of the Tenkaichi Budokais have been revived.

Back at Kame House, Kuririn, KameSennin, and Chaozu rise from their coffins, making everyone happy. Tenshinhan hugs Chaozu in happiness. KameSennin asks Bulma for a “Puff Puff” to celebrate his coming back to life, which makes her mad. KameSennin quickly backs away.

Back at Kami’s palace, Goku is happy to know that his friends have been revived, and he can’t wait to see them in 3 years, when he will return to Earth for the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. Kami tells Goku that it is time to begin training, but Goku has to go to the bathroom, and is told by Kami where it is. Goku quickly runs into the palace, saying that it is leaking.

Back on Earth, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and Kuririn have begun training themselves.

Back at Kami’s palace, Goku has to sit in place as the first part of his training. He isn’t supposed to move. What challenges in training lie ahead for Goku? The episode ends.
