Can you use the Freestyle Mastery from Buu Saga and Physical Defense Drill

Read the two cards.
Freestyle Mastery says your drills cannot be discarded. Physical Defense 
Drill says you can discard a non-combat to stop a physical attack.

Your Mastery prevents you from discarding your Driils. Thus, you cannot 
discard Physical Defense Drill (or any of your Drills), and you cannot 
stop a physical attack because you did not discard a non-combat. In order 
for you to stop the physical, you must discard a non-combat, and since you 
can't, you can't stop the attack.

I hope that made sense. And no you can't turn your Mastery off.
