From: "Super Nova" >> I for some reason decided to do one more tech before I go to sleep so >> forgive me if this seems short, or seems rushed. This will be one of >> those techs where I tend to weave in and out of the deck instead. << This is my Black Cell Hand Disruption/Beatdown Deck. Personalities Cell Stage 1 (Hi-tech) Cell, Stage Two Cell, Perfect Cell, the Destroyer Cell, the Master >> Sounds good. << Mastery Black Style Mastery - Trunks Saga Sensei Master Roshi Sensei Sensei Deck Cards 1 x Huh??? 3 x Black Scout Maneuver 2 x Black Pivot Kick 2 x Black Energy Swirl 1 x Evil Presence Drill >> Yay, filled Sensei! I would consider some Black Front Punches because >> clearing the board of nasty Drills can help. << Dragon Balls 1 x Alt. Dende Dragon Ball 2 1 x Alt. Dende Dragon Ball 3 1 x Alt. Dende Dragon Ball 4 1 x Alt. Dende Dragon Ball 5 >> Alt 5 can go. Alt 3 is to shutdown a Battleground/Location, and >> normally Drill decks need it to shut CIT down. 2 and 4 are fine. I >> think you are better off with a different set of DBs like Earth with >> alt 3, 5, and 7, or Namek with 4, and maybe alt 6, 7, and some >> drawing ones. Your call though. << Non-Combat Cards 1 x Don't You Just Hate That 1 x Expectant Trunks 1 x Goku's Heart Disease 1 x The Enternal Dragon's Quest 2 x Black Searching Technique 1 x Foreboding Evidence 1 x Where There's Life, There's Hope >> Cut EDQ. Looks pretty decent. Fatherly Advice, otherwise nice. << Drills 1 x Vegeta's Quickness Drill 1 x Black Erasing Drill 2 x Black Weakness Drill >> Sounds good. I assume you don't have VD or it would be in here. >> Erasing Drill looks interesting. << Allies 1 x Majin Buu, Evil Buu 1 x Android 14 >> Uh, you can't run Buu as an ally cause he's a Majin. That makes your >> deck illegal. << Battlefield/Locations 3 x City in Turmoil 1 x Winter Countryside >> Interesting. You might not want to have as many nons then. << Combat Cards 3 x Android 18's Staredown 3 x Trunks Energy Sphere 1 x Super Saiyan Effect 1 x Cell's Defense 1 x Battle Pausing 1 x Time is a Warrior's Tool 1 x The Power of the Dragon 1 x Cell's Theatening Position 1 x Cell's Presence 1 x Cell's Instant Transmission 1 x Android 17 Smirks 1 x Goku's Dragon Ball Quest 1 x Dazed >> Nice. I would cut GDBQ. Maybe Cell's Defense. Run some Clashes. >> Pretty nice. << Physical Combat Attack Cards 1 x Cell's Backslap 3 x Black Right Kick 1 x Goku's Dashing Punch 1 x Android 16 Detects >> Interesting. Here's your problem. You really need more attacks. Here are some suggestions: Black Body Destruction Black Drop Kick Black Face Slap Black Impressive Slap (with Namek 4) Black Swivel Attack Disruption helps a lot. It gives Black a lot of power. << Physical Combat Defense Cards 3 x Black Defensive Stance 1 x Vegeta's Physical Stance 1 x Nappa's Physical Resistance 2 x Pikkon's Leg Catch >> Maybe another Leg Catch. BBD takes over as a block, and Black Turning >> Kick does as well. You might not need Resistance and Stance. << Energy Combat Attack Cards 3 x Black Dark Energy 3 x Vegito's Charged Blast 3 x Krillin's Heat Seeking Blast 3 x Tien's Tri-Beam 1 x Good Advice >> Yeah, you can probably do away with the Tribeams. If you like them >> that much then fine, but I think you don't need them. Dark Energy is >> strange. Charged Blast is as well. I think you could probably go with >> good Black Energies like Black Knife Hand Strike as a block as well, >> and Chaos Detonation because of the effects. Those seem more stable. >> I bet there's more but as I said I'm sleepy. << Energy Combat Defense Cards 2 x Black Recovery 1 x Nappa's Energy Aura 1 x Freiza's Force Bubble 1 x Black Energy Orb 1 x Goku's Energy Absorbtion >> FFB shuts down your own, so keep that in mind. << This is sorta a hybrid Hand Disruption/Beatdown deck. This is actually my secondary deck to my Blue Dragon Ball Deck. I use Cell because he has a lot of power in his level 1 form, and because he gains plenty of attacks in his later stages (not likely to get to them, but just in case). I was considering an adding Aura Clash, but for now, I felt my level 1 was pretty powerful, expecially when he's added with Roshi and the Black Mastery. I was also thinking about adding in a Time Chamber to deal an additional 1 stage with every attack. >> Well Cell lost a lot of steam with the new Physical Attack Table. You then should actually try out Aura Clash, noting that Cell's level 2 is quite good in my opinion. I think you are fine w/o Time Chamber Training though. << I have and alternate between Cell Saga Black Style Mastery and my Trunks Saga Black Style Mastery. I don't think I use enough black cards to make my CSBSM too effective, so that's why I usually run TSBSM. >> You are probably better off with TS mastery. Helps out your beatdown, >> helps out your KHSBs. CS is great for disruption, but in your case >> you are fine with TS. << The Dende Dragon Balls are in place solely to raise my power, and add to my attacks and so forth. The "Ethernal Dragon Quest" is used only so that my opponent can no longer run Combat stopping cards. >> EDQ no longer does that. It only stops you from ending combat. In >> that case, I'd probably only run Dragon Balls for their powers. << With my Sensei, unless my opponent also runs a Master Roshi Sensei, I should steal a dragon ball with each KHSB. And Tien's Tri-Beam has been in my beatdown deck for a long time. I like being able to deal 3 cards of damage with my Sensei, since my opponent will have to block all three (and using staredown and such I can remove all energy blockers). I might consider running Earth Dragon Ball Capture, but I feel it's not necessary usually, since I can usually deal the lifecards of damage to steal dragon balls. >> Well, TS Mastery with Roshi Sensei gets you a DB. TS Mastery normally >> does anyway, so don't worry. Tribeam works best in ally or with >> Energy Empowerment Drill. Otherwise you might not want to waste your >> precious stages. And yes you probably can work w/o EDB Capture. << Well, any help would be appreciated. I think I might have to run more attacking cards, but I'm not sure what I should add to the mix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ben >> Good luck and hope that helps. Key is making your attacks discard >> cards from your opponent's hand as well, and thus making your attacks >> do dual duty. << -- matthewlow@franceslow.com "You will not be allowed to do this to anyone else!" - Gohan --
