Namekian Blinding Ray-Arrival
#127
Energy Combat
To start off, I've just joined the COTD Review crew. Namekian
Blinding Ray inflicts AT dmg and costs 3 stages. Worth it? I don't
think so. 3 stages for AT damage doesn't make the cut. The only
saving grace this card has is the "SUCCESSFUL" effect: choose up to
3 cards from your discards and put them at the bottom of your life
deck. While this card would have been much better had the effect
immediately following the cost text, it's chance in a heated battle
would be iffy. Then again, stopping attacks are not as common as
refocusing against them, and having this attack refocused or
prevented doesn't take away the main point in playing it-the regen.
Then again (sorry for the repeat) the "SUCCESSFUL" effect could give
your opponent the incentive to stop THIS attack over another. This
card should only be played in Namekian, and even then, you shouldn't
waste 3 copies taking up deck space. There are far better cards in
Namekian for invaluable deck space. Still, it can be effective to an
extent.
My verdict: a card that should be played when you HAVE 3 stages to
spare.

Good card due to the fact your paying three stages to do 7 damage
and possible regain 3 cards. At this stage in the game regeneration
is crucial, b/c cards like spirit bomb and finishers are out there.
Very good card, however I will have to give a lower score because of
the high cost. 3.5/5
