Hi again... This time I'm going for one of the non-starter deck cards... Name: Farfetch'd Type: Basic Pokemon Card #: card 27 of 102 Rarity: Uncommon Color: Colorless HP: 50 HP Weakness: L Resistance: F -30 Retreat: 1 Species: Wild Duck Level: 20 Pokemon #: 83 Attack: [1] Leek Slap (30) Flip coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Either way, you can't use this attack again as long as Farfetch'd stays in play (even after benching Farfetch'd). Attack: [3] Pot Smash (30) History: Farfetch'd is quite rare: you can only trade for it in the Red and Blue versions of the game, and hunting has dwindled its numbers in the Pokemon Cartoon. Still, it's quite impressive, twirling its leek around. A Farfetch'd trainer thought it was too weak, and resorted to stealing Pokemon. Strategy:A pretty simple card. HP 50 is quite high for a basic, and it's a flying - it resists fighting. Of course, it's also vulnerable to electrics (Lightnings). The beauty of this card is mostly in its Leek Slap - A quick 50% 30 Damage hit. Admittedly, Nidoran Male can do this for G, and repeatedly, but its HP is less. For Pot Smash, it's one of the worst damage/energy ratios - 30 Damage for 3 Energy. It's also the only attack Farfetch'd can use after the Leek is gone. It's colourless, which I guess is an asset, but it's nothing to cheer about. Also, it's a colourless _type_ attack, which means it can't burn up grass like Charmeleon's slash can. All in all, it's not that impressive. A Charmeleon can do better. (Hey, who puts Charmanders in their decks instead of Dratinis and Dragonairs just for a surprise?) Strengths: -Quick Damage -Fighting (the resistance) -Quick 30 damage hit Weaknesses: -Leek Slap can only be used once - after that, if you've only got 2 Energy, you're stuck -Electric (obviously) Combos: Farfetch'd + Scoop Up - Let's get that leek out again for some more slapping!
