Dreaming Step, Shizuku - #PR/0261EN

Reviewed: Sept. 8, 2016

[AUTO](VC/RC):Harmony (When your other unit is placed in the same column as this unit, both units become in harmony until end of turn) [AUTO](VC/RC):[Choose a grade 3 card from your hand, and discard it] When this unit attacks a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, this unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of that battle. If this unit is in harmony, look at five cards from the top of your deck, search for up to one grade 3 card from among them, reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck.

Dreaming Step, Shizuku

Grade 2 Shizuku, another promo today. She has Harmony, and it's...on and off. On attack, you discard a Grade 3 to give her 5k. If she's in Harmony, you then look at the top 5 cards of your deck, add a Grade 3 among them to your hand, shuffle your deck.

...No. You can do better. What a waste of Stride fodder.

[Dreaming Step, Shizuku]

I can only see Shizuku being useful in a Rivière deck, because Shizuku can help you get four cards in the drop zone to Legion faster without having to overguard. You don't really need Shizuku in anything else; Harmony.dek already makes good numbers on rearguard columns, Duos and Prisms want to retain their Grade 3s in hand for Breakriding, and you want to keep your Raindears in hand for the reride and extra drive check shenanigans. You could use Shizuku in Pacifica.dek, but that deck is ass compared to, well, everything else. You'll end up with plenty of extra Grade 3's in hand with that deck, so there's that.

In general, ditching a Grade 3 and not getting one back hurts your chances of Striding consistently every turn, which hurts everything but the aforementioned Rivière/Trois Legion deck. G2 Shizuku isn't reliant on Generation Break, so that's a plus.

2/5
