[AUTO]:When this unit is placed on (GC), choose one of your rear-guards, and you may return it to your hand. If you do, choose a card from your hand, call it to (GC), and if that unit has the same card name as the card returned to your hand with this effect, that unit gets [Shield]+5000 until end of that battle.

Finally, with the advent of new cards before August, we can get started on Bermuda Triangle! Starting us off is the new G Guardian, Leona. When used to defend, you bounce a rear-guard, then call one from the hand to guardian circle. If the called unit has the same name as the bounced unit, that gains 5k shield.

So essentially, it's Scryew except the minus is from field rather than the hand. Or this could work out better than Scryew if you bounce a Grade 0 like your starter by having the total shield become 30k. It's supposed to work with bounce targets such as Emilia...but that essentially leaves ONLY Emilia in a Lauris deck, so you're better off using this in a BT deck with lots of bounce targets such as Duos.

I'd use her at maximum 2 copies and hope all your bounce targets don't get Kagero'd. But she's okay, at any rate.

[Hand in Hand, Leona]

Bermuda bouncing utility, now in a G-guard. Leona gets 5K for bouncing a unit to hand, then calling a unit with the same name to Guardian circle that you bounced. Layman's terms: call the unit that you bounced to hand to Guardian circle.

So, assuming you do a Grade 1 or 2, Leona's basically Scryew. If you boosted with triggers in your early game, a thing you typically can get away with in Bermuda decks, then we're looking at 30K if you bounce one of those to hand. That could be advantageous. Sure, you could guard with a Grade 3, but then Leona's only a 20K shield. You really shouldn't bother doing that.
But here's the kicker: Glory and Tom effects will screw with Leona, since you're calling things from hand.

There's other cute things to do with Leona too, like bouncing Duo Caprice Cats, Marjona for some Countercharge. If you got effects that activate when a unit is bounced to hand, abuse them.
Not completely a Scryew replacement due to the aforementioned kicker, but hey, the potential is there.
3/5
