Chronodragon Nextage

Our last card of the day needs a Chronojet heart (not that it matters since that's still the only Gear Chronicle deck that WORKS), and as your reward, when GB2 is active and after attacking the Vanguard, G Persona Blast, CB1 and discard 3 cards from the hand to de-evolve the Vanguard back into Chronojet Dragon, and stand the Vanguard.

So really, with Triple Drive netting the 3 cards you need to pitch you're basically never going to fail to pay once he's out. Interesting thing about him is that he gets a total of 5 Drive Checks but takes a -1, whereas most G-Units giving the Vanguard another attack shave off their Drive Checks by 1 for both attacks. The second attack for this is weaker and things like triggers cannot carry over, but this is by far and away Gear Chronicle's most flexible and reliable finisher, beating Ragnaclock.

Not entirely interesting to talk about, I know, but he works so well what needs to be said about him?

So, this is apparently the evolved version of Chronojet Dragon.

Like Saikyo mentioned in his article, yes, I read them at times, this basically forces Gear Chronicles into "Chronojet or die" for the deck build.  Not exactly a good way to win.  Sheesh, even Kagero, Narukami, Dark Irregulars and Dimensional Robos are that focused on their Vanguard.

Anyway, CB1, Persona Flip and Discard 3 cards from your hand at GB2 to send this to the G Zone and restand Chronojet Dragon after attacking a Vanguard.

...So, basically, you get an extra attack and twin drive?

There are easier ways to do restanding, Bushi, this is not one of them.

On the flip side, Glendios just laughs at this with Rubidium.

I can't say it's good, can't say it's bad.  All I can say is, I'm underwhelmed.  Need to play against it to really see.

Still, like any Gear Chronicle Stride, the problem isn't the card itself, it's finding room for it.
