What's up, you guys?!  So this week, we're looking at a lot of unorthodox, and even older, cards that seem to have gone on the wayside as of late, and today, we have a cards that best summarizes that statement:

Navelgazer Dragon
Power: 10000
Grade 3
Clan: Aqua Force
Race: Tear Dragon
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (2)] Until end of turn, this unit gets [Power]+3000 and "[AUTO](VC):When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, if it is the third battle of that turn or more, choose up to two of your «Aqua Force» rear-guards, and [Stand] them.".
[AUTO](VC):When this unit attacks, if it is the third battle of that turn or more, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of that battle.

...for some Aqua Force players, this was the first ace that they ever used mainly because they bought 4 copies of the Aqua Force Trial Deck and made their decks the way they are today after that.  However, now that the clan has many new aces, like Trans-core Dragon, the Maelstrom Duo and even Revonn, does Navelgazer even have a spot in players' decks anymore?  Personally speaking, only if you can't afford the aforementioned cards.  Navelgazer has a mediocre 10,000 Power that can become 13,000 if you have him attack 3rd or higher, which the deck can easily do with Diamantes, Basil, Benedict and the likes, and his Limit Break is good in pressurizing situations, but I wouldn't recommend it seeing how there are better options for cheaper and/or better.

Personally, if you can't afford Revonn or the Maeltrom brothers, then I'd say go for Hydro Hurricane for this; at least Hydro threatens the opponent's field.

Rating: 1.5/5
Art: 3/5
Next Time: The only non-Aqua Force unit on this week's schedule...so Foolish...

Navelgazer Dragon

Called it. Pojo didn't like anything I picked last week. So now as punishment I face another week of really boring stuff after one slightly interesting card.

Said interesting card for today is a card as old as dirt - Navelgazer Dragon. Late Game, you can pre-pay a cost of CB2, he then gains 3k, and if he attacks third and hits the VG, two of your RGs stands. Oh, and he also gets 3k if he attacks third normally.

He used to be okay. I mean, yes, when he was released Maelstrom and Hydro Hurricane Dragon were also out, but this guy still had a niche. All because he could attack third, and not fourth like the other bosses. Because he doesn't need to attack last, units based on 4 battle such as Algos and Valeria love this guy because trigger effects can be passed to them. Generating 3 attacks before them meant quite a bit of pressure Late Game. But of course, it's got a few weaknesses. If he does hit, you pretty much need an entire column re-stood with this skill (which the column involving Algos/Valeria probably will already be), and so all that's left is the column that generated the 1st and 2nd battle, which would most likely be the Storm Riders, who's column is now all messed up. So a smart opponent could just not guard and spare shield for the 4th battler.

I say USED to be okay because a Navelgazer deck really does not cut it anymore in an age where finishers had to become ridiculous to compete with the old crowd again. Navelgazer's just too frail and chance-based to matter now.

2/5
