Dimension Creeper

Welcome to Shameless Indulgence Week! This week we review cards that interest ME, the Saikyo Cardfighter, and almost certainly no-one else. So we start with a card that clutters up the boxes of commons at my local shop, Dimension Creeper. It's just one of those cards where it hides some rather annoying benefits. If it's in the soul, drop it out to Soulcharge 2. Sounds boring and chance-based for just 1 more net soul added, but it's actually really good, because of what you can do with the 2 soul added. Soulcharging 2 cards in the Main Phase grants Doreen the Thruster an extra 6000 power, making it form columns with almost anything. Better still, setting it up is actually really easy, since Greedy Hand is a fairly standard starter and it can search for it to put in the soul. You could use Free Traveler to put it in too, but I find I'd rather just use Greedy or natural chance to put it there and use something a little more useful (assuming the deck's built right and Soulcharges fast, 1-2 should end up in the soul by accident, so you should be ok).

Essentially, he's here to make Doreens shoot for big numbers across the board. Use him before (or after) a Dantalian Break Ride along with some other card like Master of Fifth Element, and what you have is one hell of a turn where everything is swinging for the most ludicrous numbers in Late Game, basically saying "2 Perfect Guards here or you die". Even before the Break Ride, he can power up Doreens for decently high numbers, effectively creating a devastating 2 turn punch to the opponent.

Dimension Creeper probably can't function without any of the pieces mentioned in this review, but it's one hell of a combo piece.

3/5
