Neat skill, but sadly not spammable without help due to being so expensive. Needs to be heavy on Crits for the columns to truly hit home.

Here we have the first of two Genesis Witches, which is also a type 2 Legion.  Her mate is Chicory.  Chic, chicory, chic, chicory, chic-chic...Cory...

Okay, that was horrible, I am never doing Chim Chimeny like that again.

Anyway, Chicory's a simple 12K beater, but, like Femme, works with any "Witch" vanguard, so you can have, in a witch deck, eight 12K beaters if you want to or more (we'll get to that tomorrow).

So, what does Mint do here?

Well, if she's in Legion, or has a Booster, you can CB1 to Soul Charge 3.  That's not horrible, and it's pretty much what Genesis does quite well.  So, what's the Legion skill?

Soul Blast 6, ouch, that can be a bit hefty, but, with that first skill, it's just two CB total to get to six, so, not too bad.  But, what do you get for that big soul blast?

+10000 power to Mint and +5000 to all front row Witches?

...Not bad, but...  if you want to get technical, Rias did the same thing, but better.  Now, normally, I don't like to compare two units from different clans, but since they're both Witches, and neither has the "Lord" restriction, I feel it's a more fair comparison instead of comparing everything that gives power to rear guards to Master of the Fifth Element or something like that.

Anyway, this is meant to be a finisher, when all the Sentinels are in the drop/damage zone and your opponent doesn't have a large hand, this is meant to over-power your opponent and finish them off.

Again, Rias could do the same by weakening the opponent's vanguard by 10000 with two grade 0s in play, except that the rear guards got more benefit out of it.

...Seriously, why is Mint a RRR?  Tomorrow's card is way better for all versions of witches.

And, yes, I've used her, but Rias just does it better.

Genesis and Witches....hmmmm should have stayed with the Shadow Paladins.  I really do not think Genesis needed them as a sub clan.  That is because they get over shadowed by the Regalia sub clan, which is just so powerful compared to the Witches.

I love though that for a soul blast 6 you can give your front row a insane amount of power as long as your rear guard units are witches.  The Vanguard gets a 10k boost and your front row witch rear guards get 5k each as well. So that kind of power is hard to deal with late game of if you have little to no hand.  Plus her third ability helps fill the soul rather quickly, especially for a clan that generally does not counter blast.

I am a little sad that she took a RRR spot simply because again the Witches for Genesis are not very strong in this set.  Thought she as a SP was a good choice because the card has some beautiful art and really pops as a SP.  They don't have the same control or power the Shadow Paladin Witches do so I  feel this card will be around $8-$10, so it is not entirely bad and there could be room to grow if the Witches ever get more support down the road.
