His hand clearing effect is a major game changer, which can be extremely devistating when done early game, which is possible with Ichigo & Izuru-Double Teaming. Although Ichigo has been erratad, he was once a big part in Five-decks and was the main theme in this years squad 3 regional winning deck. Now with the errata, ichigo can no longer be thrown into deck other decks as easily, and you can no longer play him after a carefully executed Utter Destruction to clear both the field and their hand.
