Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Assault Mode Activate". When this card is Special Summoned, you can send up to 2 Warrior-type monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK for every Warrior-type monster in your Graveyard. When this card on the field is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Colossal Fighter" from your Graveyard.

General Zorpa Colossal Fighter Assault Mode

Welcome to a short yugi-week as we are all preparing for Spring Break. So for those of you NOT going to Cabo San Lucas, we have reviews of some amazing cards this week. Today's card is Colossal Fighter Assault Mode.

This guy has a whopping 3300 ATK which is enough to take out most everything in the entire game. As if that weren't enough, when you summon him with Assault Mode Activate, you can discard 2 Warrior monsters from your deck to the graveyard. Then, all of your opponent's monsters lose 100 ATK per Warrior monster in your graveyard.

These effects are generally amazingly better than the original. Even though he does not revive a Warrior outright, he will force some action from your opponent, and then you just get your Colossal Fighter back.

As for the apparent drawback of sending Warriors to the graveyard, Destiny Hero Malicious, Necro Gardna, Destiny Hero Dasher and even Shield Warrior are excellent choices and not only thin your deck but also provide protection and combo opportunities in case your Colossal Fighter ever dies.

All in all a solid card, and I would include one copy in an Assault Mode deck, along with a couple of Stardust Assaults and a Red Dragon Assault.

Mr. Random Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Assault Mode Activate". When this card is Special Summoned, you can send up to 2 Warrior-type monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK for every Warrior-type monster in your Graveyard. When this card on the field is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Colossal Fighter" from your Graveyard.

Once again we review another Assault Mode monster. Just as hard to get out like the other Assault Mode monsters, but with a different effect. Send two warriors from the deck and instead of him gaining a ATK boosting effect, the opponent's monsters lose 100 for each. I would still rather have the Colossal Fighter Synchro on the field in stead of a harder to get out one thats a little stronger.

Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode. Definitely an interesting card out of all the "Assault Mode" monsters. With a whopping 3300 attack you can easily run over cards like Dark Armed Dragon and Gladiator Beast Heraklinos. Also when its special summoned, it can send up to 2 warrior monsters from the deck to the graveyard., which means that it helps weaken your opponents monsters by at least 200 attack, and an additional 100 attack for each in the graveyard, which isnt too bad. And like the other "Assault Mode" monsters, when its destroyed you can special summon the Synchro Monster you had to tribute to special summon Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode, and being able to bring Colossal Fighter back, he would automatically get a 300 attack bonus at least from the 2 warriors sent to the graveyard plus Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode.

The card is alright, one of the somewhat good Assault Mode monsters, but like all Assault Mode monsters, its fairly hard to summon out and takes too much work in the long run, which isn't really worth it. Especially since Colossal Fighter is better than his Assault Mode, so there are definitely better cards to run.

Colossal Fighter – Assault Mode …

Well, before I get into this guy, let me just say a quick word about Colossal Fighter Synchro – He’s awesome. And awesome in the sense that he’s one of those seldom thought of, rarely raved over, but often used, and highly effective monsters that just never gets that much shine … I’m guessing in part cuz he was almost a ‘give-away’, and his primary effect is nothing fancy ... just simply a measure of brute strength … strength that can almost always overpower any other monster that is played … seriously!

And now the Assault Mode takes it to a new level. That extra 500 in the Assault version, giving Colossal 3300 ATK is quite exceptional from the start. But with him – instead of adding to his strength, u subtract from your opponent’s strength. One might=2 0argue that this is a SUPERIOR effect … and I might be that one! Making all your opponent’s monsters weaker means that u can kill them with YOUR weaker monsters, instead of putting that duty on your Colossal Fighter Assault Mode, thus now leaving him free to strike for direct damage with his huge ATK. It sucks that u only get to subtract based on warrior monsters in YOUR graveyard, but with the Synchro Colossal Fighter, plus the 2 that u dump in there, and whatever other warrior monsters you’ve used … u should be able to reduce them by a good amount.

Want even MORE good news about this guy? – That effect to dump warriors into your grave from your deck is terrific! The graveyard is the place to BE these days. And my very first choice would be to dump 2 Necro Gardnas … and i'm sure u can figure out why without me explaining it to u.

For Assault Modes? – This=2 0is one of the best.

Apparently we are on super short week as Pojo along with others in the world are about to enjoy Spring Break...how I envy you all. MY Spring Break for college was 3 weeks ago, and that's not very exciting...

Anyway, we open this week with CRMS-000, Colossal Fighter--Assault Mode, an interesting monster, and one that almost makes you want to play himself. This is a very interesting monster, so let's take a look.

We have a Level 10 monster, with 3300 attack, wihich is incredible, as that runs over everything you will see any opponent throw out at you, at least in a competitive manner. 1500 defense is absolutely attrocious here, and could be bad news.

Now, when Special Summoned, you can send two Warrior-type monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard. Furthermore, all monsters your opponent controls lose 100 attack for every Warrior monster in your Graveyard.

Not too shabby I suppose, but I'm greedy, and I want more out of this.
This assault mode doesn't give you any direct card advantage, but it does set you up for some nice combos later, and the deck thinning is nice.

As is common with Assault Mode monsters, if destroyed, you get the
original monster back, so that's a plus also. Stardust Dragon and Red
Dragon are the assaults of choice, but you might want to take a look at this guy too. The problem being, he sort of needs his own Deck in order to function best.
