I've been experimenting with a deck type I've dubbed the "mini-maker", meaning it revolves around mini-haymaker arche-type pokemon. Here's the deck: *Pokemon: 14 4 Girafarig (Lv. 30, Neo Genesis) 4 Gligar (Lv. 31, Neo Genesis) 2 Scyther (Lv. 25, Jungle) 2 Magmar (Lv. 37, Neo) 2 Erika's Dratini (Lv. 14, Gym Heroes) *Trainers: 27 3 Professor Oak (Base Set 1&2) 3 Bill (Base Set 1&2) 3 Computer Search (Base Set 1&2) 2 Nightly Garbage Run (Team Rocket) 2 Item Finder (Base Set 1&2) 3 Plus Power (Base Set 1&2) 4 Energy Removal (Base Set 1&2) 3 Gust Of Wind (Base Set 1&2) 2 Switch (Base Set 1&2) 1 Ecogym (Neo Genesis) 1 Resistance Gym (Gym Challenge) *Energy: 19 7 Fighting 7 Psychic 4 Double Colorless Energy (Base Set 1&2) 1 Rainbow Energy (Team Rocket) The twist that sets it apart from the Haymaker decks is this: Girafarig and Gligar (the main hitters) have a bit more defence than Haymaker pokemon and they have attacks that can cause status effects. Scyther's purpose here is support, basicly to counter Feraligatr. Magmar is there to protect Gligar due to its grass-type weakness. The Erika's Dratini are to ward off Haymaker pokemon, mainly Sneasel. The trainers are for card access and board control. Resistance Gym made the cut since the main hitters' types are often what many pokemon resist, and Ecogym is to keep some energy out of the discard pile. This deck has a perfect, all-win record so far (for me, anyway). I urge you to give it a try. ^-~ Enjoy what remains of your summer! ^-^ -Samantha 129 SamMede129@aol.com (no viruses and flaming, please)
