Okay, people seem to have different views on VS, about how good it is,
will wizards change the whole pokemon format and so on.  Here's my take.
Remember when we were all abuzz about the rumored "Trainer X" tournament
set?  VS could be just that, and probably is.  For those who missed the
surge in intrest, the Tornament Set is going to be a new tournament
format.  The tournament cards are to be mixed with regular cards, it's
kinda like modified, except more extreme.  It's supposed to be a Pokemon
"subgame" it's pokemon, but not to be associated with the traditional
game.  There are only basics because there are different rules.  One of
the characteristics of the tournament set, as described in a WotC chat,
are that each pokemon has only one card, and there are not as many
trainers, and they are all (mostly) from "standard" expansions.  Anyone
who has taken a close look at VS will know that this is true of it.  I
could discribe it many more ways, but it would be pointless.  The bottom
line is that VS, or supposed "Trainer X", is not really, Pokemon TCG
expansion, just a new tournament format with new guidelines and it's own
cards -- But It Will Not Replace The Origional Game!
