Mr. Satan returns from his last report with another exciting story. Today, I'm here to say something about the deck most of us know and love as Haymaker. It started out with nothing but Electabuzz, Hitmonchan, Professor Oak, Bill, Energy Removal, Super Energy Removal, Scoop Up, ItemFinder, and sometimes Dragonair, Machop, Farfetch'd, etc. Then, Scyther came around with Jungle, as did Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, and seldomly used cards like Tauros, Kangaskhan, and Mr. Mime. While people no longer play the little annoying Mime on a regular basis, Haymaker wasn't exactly weakened. Fossil gave it nothing but the seldom-used Muk, Hitmonlee, and Aerodactyl. Some people thought Chansey could stomp it, but it was later proven that Chansey would stomp a Poke'mon and then get itself stomped.
Then comes Team Rocket. We thought we had the answer with Dark Blastoise, man, were we wrong! Haymaker stopped Dark Blastoise decks before they ever even started. And what did Haymaker get from Team Rocket, hardly a thing!! Promos like Movie Mewtwo even showed up in Hay before Sponge was made!
Now Gym: Heroes arrives. Trapper is born, but turns out to be not as good as we thought. Haymaker on the other hand, still got tougher. Rocket's Hitmonchan still appears in some of them, but not as much as the old Hitmonchan still does. Rocket's Scyther would even be put in some of them.
Lt. Surge's Electabuzz Lv. 29 even started to get his fair share of Hay for awhile, till it proved too Energy-intensive. Yes, Gym: Heroes had No Removal Gym, which weakened Haymaker a little, but didn't stop it from winning.
Next up was Gym: Challenge. Haymaker got absolutely nothing from Gym: Challenge. Nothing at all. Chaos Gym looked like it's end, but it wasn't(sigh). Hay players got their treat when Neo Genesis hit the scene, however. Gligar(on rare occasions), Gold Berry, oh, the horror! Haymaker has gathered up its strength to its highest point now. When Neo 2 arrives, I can tell that Haymaker won't really gain much if anything. Neo 3 shouldn't be a threat, as for Neo 4, why we don't know what it will hold for Haymaker.
Plus, Haymaker is the deck of its creator. People can copy it, modify it, and it'll still be unstoppable. That's why I'm saying, Haymaker will eventually take over the TCG if people don't start coming up with their own ideas. Haymaker is broken! Sponge is nice since it has a chance against Haymaker, but then what'll happen after Haymaker is killed by Sponge? Then we'll have a Sponge problem. What can beat Sponge? Some say Jungle Persian and Sabrina's Porygon could eliminate Mewtwo, but then there's Electabuzz and Scyther. So, this is not exactly logical. So, people should come up with their own ideas, not like every archetype in the world. If this continues, I can tell you what Wizards will do, they will ban the 1 card necessary for a viable archetype: Super Energy Removal! Unless you don't want to be able to use your Super Energy Removal, come up with another idea besides Haymaker that holds your advantage. Haymaker is just too much for the TCG.
