In response to Mosquito's article asking why Hitmonchan has declined in
popularity, I have to say that the answer is somewhat obvious:
Rocket's Zapdos.
Combined with Buzz and a Cleffa or two, 10-14 energy, and a billion
Trainers, it's an extremely good deck that is hard to beat by playing the
types. A juiced RZ can take out Chan in one hit, but it takes
Chan SEVEN TURNS while fully powered to take out Zapdos, in which time it
can easily defeat Chan. In my area, however, I can play Chan because
Scyther is the only F-Resistant Pokémon played, which can be worked around
and is not as much a threat as RZ. Hope this clears things up for you,
but most people already know this.
