Pokémon: Straight Up

Intro

I read these Pojo posts, and I see all of these people whining about getting
rid of Wigglytuffs, Electabuzzes, 'Chans, Rocket's Zappys, etc. I get tired
of hearing about it. I go to my League meeting every week, and yes, there are
any Haymaker decks there, but they are all, usually, different. As for
Wigglytuff decks, there are only two: mine, and another guys. I honestly
don't see what the problem is. No card is perfect. I guarantee you I can find
a way around ANY card. Traps, Oaks, and Bills a Problem? Slowking or Dark
Plume is the answer. Slowkings and Dark Plumes an answer? Muk or Igglybuff is
your answer. Wiggly a problem? Use a Sprout Tower, and so on. So people WHAT
IS THE PROBLEM? You people think Magic is perfect? There are combos that
don't even let your opponent take a turn! How did Wizards get around it? They
let it die out, by creating more and more cards and creating a "Type 2"
tournament environment. As I said, I don't think there is much of a problem,
but if Wizards insists on fixing what is not broken, atleast go about fixing
it the right way. Don't tell people how many of each card can be in there
decks, tell them WHICH CARDS can't be in there deck.

15+ Age Division at STS

What do you know? Wizards has screwed up again, this time making the worst
decision they have ever made, concerning Pokémon. They have taken away 50% of
there audience, if not more. Since when has an eight-year-old drove to an STS
Qualifier? Since when has an eight-year-old spent there entire paycheck on
buying a box or two of Pokémon cards? Wizards, you guys are professionals. It
doesn't take a rocket scientists to figure out not to get rid of the 15+ Age
Group at STS. Are you guys trying to push us towards Magic? Why, when we have
a thousand or two Pokémon cards, would we start ALL OVER and start collecting
Magic? All of those wasted paychecks... allowances... Instead of moving to
Magic, people are just going to stop playing TCG's all together. Common sense
guys....

Where Are They Now?

What ever happened to Damage Swap and Rain Dance decks? I very rarely see a
Rain Dance deck now and I haven't seen a Damage Swap deck in the past few
months. See, about 8 months ago, you people were complaining about Rain Dance
and Damage Swap being too effective and being used too much, now it's Dark
'Plume and Slowking. Eventually these decks will fade out. The only two
decks, I believe will never fade out is Wiggly and Hay. They will most
definitely change though. Sneasel has been replacing Wiggly, and eventually
something will replace Electabuzz. Don't worry people. If Pokémon can last as
long as Magic, the game will be awesome, almost flawless. It all depends on
Wizards though. If they decide to keep the 15+ Division up, and keep Pokémon
around 5 or 10 more years, they will have TWO Mega-Selling Products. I myself
know, that I will not choose to stop playing Pokémon. If I stop, it will be
at the fault of WotC.
