Backing into the Corner

one of the best ways to defeat your opponent is to make some status changes...bad status changes. ok, so you have a stinky little weedle and are about to get your last pokemon in your deck stupefied by your opponent's charizard. it has 20 hp left, but your weedle can only do 10 damage! but wait... why don't you just poison the charizard? in my opinion, status changes are your only hope of winning your way out of a big mess and are very effective!

one of my favorite cards is a type of gloom. it can do 30 damage, while, if the coin you flip is heads, will either do poison, confusion, or paralysis! that's more powerful than an articunos attack!

I recommend using a lickitung in all of your decks because of its high hp and paralysis and confusion attacks.

you've got to be able to plan ahead on which status attacks to use by your opponents face expressions, etc. picture this; you send out your lickitung for your shellder and your opponent looks slightly phased, his blastoise with 30 hp left-your turn still. you would want to confuse blastoise, since your opponent will most likely retreat and confusion can stop retreating with the back of a coin, then you can finish off blastoise!

C ya!

unit ps. just back your opponent into a corner and  he'll be too phased to finish you off!
