Fire decks are starting to pop out these days thanks to those powerful, energy discarding, high HPed fire types. If you are one of those people that use those types of decks, read this. It's about Magmar(my 2nd favorite pokemon). Base Magmar: Magmar(Basic) (fire)50HP RR Fire Punch 30 RR1 Flamethrower 50 Dicard 1 R energy card attached to Magmar in order yo use tis atttack. Weakness:W Resistance: Retreat Cost:2 OK HP for a basic pokemon.First attack is also OK.Second is not so good because of the discarding part, but good for taking out those charmanders in charizard decks or other 50 HP pokemon. Not many water pokemon are being played. No resistance is ok.2 retreat does hurt but is still good.Final Score:5 of 10. Fossil Magmar: Magmar(Basic) (fire)70HP R Smokescreen 10 If the defending pokemon tries to attack during your opponent's next turn, your opponent flips a coin.If tails, that attack does nothing. RR Smog 20 Flip a coin.If heads, the defending pokemon is now poisoned. Weakness:W Resistance: Retreat Cost:1 Great HP for a basic!First attack is good.Just like Sandshrew's Sand Attack, but in fire form.Good second attack.2 fire for 20 and possible poisoning.Same stats as Base Magmar except for retreat.Only 1 retreat is almost too good to be true for a 70HPer.Good in status and stall decks.Final score 7.0 Neo Magmar:Magmar(basic) (Fire)70HP 2 Tail Slap 20 RR1 Magma Punch 40 Weakness:W Resistance: Retreat Cost:2 Personnally,my favorite of the Magmars.Great HP for a basic.Ok first attack. Decent second attack.Like Base Magmar's but 10 damage less and no energy discarding.Same bottom stats as Base Magmar.Final Score:7.5 I hope that my article has helped you out a bit.Join me next time when I discuss level 69 Feraligatr.Until then, goodbye! havek323, havek323@netzero.net
