Well, the Merc is back after months on the shelf!  La-de-da-de-da!  Let's get on with the article!

While I've been gone from the world of playing Pokemon, I've noticed a few things.  One, Sneasil is broken.  Two, the Gold/Silver version of Pokemon on the Game Boy allows me to make the ultimate water team!  And three, I've collected about 30 Team Rocket's Meowths!  While admiring them for a while, I've decided to make a comeback!  And once again, like I did last year, I'll apply Magic: The Gathering concepts!  The concept for this article:  "Suicide"

The Pokemon in question for this tactic?

------------------------------
Team Rocket's Meowth
Basic Pokemon
Colorless
40HP
C: Miraculous Comeback
Flip a number of coins equal to the total number of Pokemon in play. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads. Then, Team Rocket's Meowth does 10 damage times the number of tails to itself.
Weakness: Fighting
Resistance: Psychic
Retreat Cost: 1

Dark Weezing
Stage 1
Grass
60HP
GC: Mass Explosion 20x
Does 20 damage times the total number of Koffings, Weezings, and Dark Weezings in play (Apply Weakness and Resistance.). Then, this attack does 20 damage to each Koffing, Weezing, and Dark Weezing (even your own). Don't apply Weakness and Resistance.
GGG: Stun Gas 20
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisioned; if tails, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
Weakness: Psychic
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: 1

------------------------------

First, Team Rocket's Meowth.  Simply amazing for it's cost!  One energy set up all kinds of havoc.  It's very risky, but where's the fun without the risk?  It can do up to 120 damage.  Emphasis on "can".  It's rare, but it's there.  In the proper conditions, it can KO bigger Pokemon.  It's cost efficiency is great!

Next, Dark Weezing.  80 damage if your have the max amount of Koffings, Weezings, and/or Dark Weezings.  160 if your opponent foolishly plays the same.  And it goes great with Darkness Energy!  After all, Dark Weezing has "Dark" in it's name!  So thumbs up to more damage!

Now, lets say you want to build a deck around this concept, which I know a lot of you won't.  What would it look like?

Team Rocket's Suicide Tricks
------------------------------
3 Dark Weezing
4 Koffing
3 Rocket's Scyther
3 Sneasil
4 Team Rocket's Meowth

4 Energy Removal
1 Here Comes Team Rocket!
2 Nightly Garbage Run
2 Pokemon Center
4 Professor Oak
4 Rocket's Sneak Attack
1 The Boss's Way
1 The Rocket's Training Gym
4 The Rocket's Trap

4 Darkness Energy
12 Grass Energy
4 Rainbow Energy

------------------------------

So how's the deck work?  Much like a Trapper deck, with a suicide concept that deals as much damage as possible with as little energy as possible.  I place Rocket's Scyther over Jungle/Base 2 Scyther simply because of the Shadow Image attack, which can stall significantly.  Sneasil's Beat Up attack complement's Team Rocket's Meowth in the cheap beatings department.  And with Oaks in the deck, going through the deck for everything is a breeze.  Also, it has the Team Rocket style!

So if you think that the Haymaker concept is just overrated, try a different approach at quick beatings.  A "Suicide" approach!

I miss the hate mail, support mail, and all that.  Wanna tell me off?  Go ahead!  I'm waiting for your reply!
