Chansey First Turn Knockout
I knew this title would bring your attention to my first ever article. I
got this idea from Ness's crazy sneasel deck which focuses on using a TR Meowth
for a first turn KO. This may be useful against creatures around 70hp but it is
risky due to its relience on coin flips. What I thought of may just change the
way you play this game.
Remember the 'useless' trainer Misty?
The stats:
Name: Misty
Rarity: Rare
Text: Discard 2 of the other cards in your hand in
order to play
this card. If this turn's attack does damage to
the
Defending Pokemon(after applying Weakness and
Resistance),
and if the attacking Pokemon has Misty in its name,
the
attack does 20 more damage to the Defending Pokemon.
Hmmmm..... some of you might have an idea already.
With 4 Mistys(3 is already enough) and 4 pluspowers and say maybe a Misty's
Staryu or Misty's Poliwag (both gym challenge) which does a 20 first turn, say
doesn't that knock out any creature on the first turn. No unreliable coin flips
this time, unless the opponent's first turn only basic is a baby pokemon and if
the opponent has only 1 basic and you have the first turn, astalavista baby...
Just keep drawing untill you get all your needed cards with CPU search and so
on. Try to use this technique together with oaks coz you gotta discard
something(2 is a lot) when you play that card and free retreat creatures(you
need your Misty's Staryu as a basic at the start). You don't even have to fill
up yer bench.
