Actually, I believe my combo does work.
Metal Energy reads (Exact)
Metal Energy
Damage done to the Pokemon Metal Energy is attached to is reduced by 10
(after applying weakness and resistance). If the Pokemon Metal Energy is
attached to isnt of metal type, whenever it damages a pokemon, reduce that
damage by 10. (before applying weakness and resistance).
Metal Energy provides one metal energy (doesn't count as a basic energy
card)
It says nothing about damage from the defending pokemon or only if its your
active, therefore, as long as you only moved one damage counter at a time, the
moment you put it on the pokemon with metal energy it will be reduced by 10,
therefore resulting in no damage. Alakazam and metal energy could actually work.
You could also use Slowbro's (fossil) strange behavior, as long as slowbro had
the metal energy on him.
