Hello everyone, Tim here. I tried to resist responding to this. I really did. But I couldn't, the word "Creative" annoyed me too much. Okay, first- A creative Gatr Dark Blastoise. I'm not sure which Gatr you're refering to, because your "creativity" might cause you to use the Chomp/ Beserk one, but I'll assume it's the Riptider. So, you play gatr, and so does everyone else. However, yours is creative, just because Dark Blastoise is in there. Why would the other people want to add something like Blastoise, which just slows you down and makes you more likely to lose? People play Steelix and Typhlosion and Gatr and the like becasue doing well is much more fun than doing poorly. We all know that it's okay to lose, but it's more fun to win. Then, you say that it's not what you play with but how you play. This is true to a certain extent, but a good gatr player will absolutely slauter a Gatr/ Dark Blastoise deck. And no, I'm not gonna fall asleep at the sight of Steeli! x, I'll just Firestorm the stupid thing. =) And I am open to new ideas. I try them out, but not at tournaments. At tournaments, I bring the best deck I have. I've been asked whether I am getting tired of playing Typhlosion/ Blaine's Arcanine. I said no, it's fun to win, and this deck lets me do that. And "Creative" is a really bad, poorly chosen word. It implies that it is different, and therefore has something good about it. In pokemon, being different does not mean something is good. I seroiusly bet someone will walk into a tournament with their Dunsparce/ Magikarp deck, and say they are being creative. They are, but they're gonna get their butt kicked. I know it is okay to lose, but I am going to try to minimalize my chances of doing so. It is just more fun to win. If people are open to new ideas and use their brain, it doesn't mean their gonna do something that makes them more likely to lose. Later. -Tim Svenson e- mail me at Victreebel29@juno.com
