And once again, hello Pojo and Pojo viewers. Here today I am here to do a little something different. I understand that Jason K. (Ness) has been a little busy and hasn't done a Card of the Day in a while, and its turning into Card of the Month! (Just kiddin' wit ya Jas ;)) So, I am here to sorta, "help him out" in a way. I will frequently send to Pojo.com to the TCG Strategies section and do a sort of CotD. Now of course this is if Pojo and the gang would like to post all of my submissions, it being entirely up to them what is worth posting, so please dont hate me if they dont get there, AND DONT HATE POJO! Heck, mabey I did do a crappy job on the report, but owell. So here I go, I will start it off! Hope this becomes a regular thing for me!

And The Card of the Day is...
Muk and Ditto!
~Just this time I will steal from Jason and do a quote ;)~

"Hey, if we put these two in a 10x16" foot room for 10 minutes, we would come out with the biggest piece of gum ever!"- Me ;)

So why did I pick these two for my first CotD? Well, first of all its 2 cards, lol, I'll sometimes do that, and second, I got an email a couple days ago from someone (apparently named "Jimmy"), asking if I would make him a deck with Muk and Ditto. At first I did one of those blank stares, wondering "What?", then I snapped back to reality. I said, this will be a tough one. So I will do seperate reviews on these two and mabey find an answer! Ok, first in the alphabet is Ditto, sooo, we'll go Ditto ;).

~Ditto~
Lets take a look at his stats. Ok forget that, now lets look at every Pokemon in this games stats. Of couse no, that would take to long, so lets look at what this big pile of goop can do.
Basically, this card can be anything (or atleast any Pokemon), which is pretty cool. It has the power to be the defending Pokemon when active, and can use any energy on him? Wowzers! Just think, 2 DCE against a R. Zapdos and BOOM, electro burn for 70 damage, knocking it out, and not taking any damage. Promo Mewtwo now has more to fear than just himself, cause now ditto comes up and takes him down in one hit!

I feel this cards biggest advatage is the fact you can use DCE as any energy, letting him power up faster. Another good example is Electabuzz. With one DCE, he can do thunderpunch first turn.

Other things that are good with Ditto are Scoop Up, to help from getting knocked by low HP Pokemon. Gust can both help and hurt Ditto. It can help to Gust out the Mewtwo and get a prize, or can get gust "in" and be knocked out if it has 50 damage on it. Goop hurst him too, aswell as Muk (lol, which made that kids request so difficult!!).

But then, another card that will slow Ditto down, is NRG removal. Because Ditto's DCE counts for double the nrg, one removals count double the nrg! Ouch, but things are there to get around this, like No Removal Gym. (I believe Eco Gym wouldn't help because the nrg is still DCE, so it is discarded)

My Rating is...
8.0!
The card is just amazing, and is fast and speedy, which is what you want to play normally, fast. He has weaknesses, but with those weaknesses can also come strengths, it all depends on what your opponent plays and what you want Ditto to do to them. Ditto is good for mostly every deck, because it can be anything!

~Muk~
So we got another glob of goo now, lets see what this big guy can do.
HP: Pretty decent for a stage 2, but mabey could be a tad higher.
Type: Grass if a fun type to play, because of all the "extra" damage.
Evolution: Grimer aint too bad, 50 HP, a decent attack, but evolve to Muk when ready.
Pokemon Power: This is what makes Muk Muk. He loooves his Pokemon Power but hate the rest of them. So he took it upon himself to get rid of them. This big guy takes down Raindance and Stall decks, 2 big achetypes that uses to be played. Plus he shuts down Dittos (awww too bad) with ease.
Attacks: Eh, his attack passes, 30 for 3 grass plus chance of poison.
Weak/Resist/Retreat: Weak to psy bad cuz of Mewtwo, no resistence, and 2 retreat is is ok, I mean, no one ever complains about Mewtwo, Hitmo, or Buzz?

Ok, so this guy shuts down decks that need the Pokemon Power to work. For example, this works best on Stall, because if you get Muk out then his Kazam is screwed, and we know Stall doesn't rely on attacking most of the time.
Raindance isn't that easily hurt, because a Blastoise comes fast, and you Grimers may be all gone by the time you can get a Muk out. Muk is sorta a slower Pokemon, and we know slower Pokemon go down to the quick and speedy.

So thats basically all Muk is good for, shutting down those specific decks that use Pokemon Powers, but it also hurts Ditto, but that can usually be countered with the other fast attacking Pokemon, like Mewtwo KO's in one hit, as does TR Zapdos.

My Rating is...
6.5
Sure, Muk can hurt a Stall Deck, but much more Pokemon can take him down fast, and Muk just isn't as fast as he could, and that is an important key part. Speed is good, and Muk just doesn't have it, I guess he could be ok, but is shut down easily by other decks. He just doesn't have what is takes to take the gold home.

So there you have it, my first 2 CotD. Hope you enjoyed reading. I will most likely become better at this and hope Pojo will keep postin' my stuff! Once again, thanks for reading and look forward to writing some more CotD's for ya, and hope Jason gets back to his, cause I love em'! (Especially the quotes, they crack me up!) Owell, until next time, keep playin'!
