Listen People,
I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing whining about how this card sucks
because it is used in every deck.  Don't sit around and do this!  It doesn't
help.  Who cares if you go to a tourney, and Hitmonchan rips up the perfect
Wiggly Deck, the answer is not to come here and write a big article on why
Haymakers are just horrible.  But at the same time, don't expect to win if
you keep playing the same deck.  If something is giving you a problem, do
something about it.  There are hundreds of ways to beat a hay.  And now is
when I pick on Haymakers because they really are popular (Duh)
Let's go over some of them.

1) Lass.  Plain and simple.  Just get this on your first turn, and they might
as well concede, if you play the right kind of deck.  Lass is great, when you
first get one as a beginner, you'll probably think it's awful, but it can
really do a lot, from messing up your opponent, to replenishing your deck.
It is double edged though, so use it with a side of Cleffa, and you'll end up
on top from the getgo.

2) RSA (Rocket Sneak Attack).  Same thing really, it isn't always the best, I
personally use Lass, but it does come without that pesky side effect that
puts you in the same situation.

3)  RT (Rockets Trap).  Not my favorite, but the ability to get rid of any
cards you choose can be really harsh, coin flip is a bit iffy though.

4)  Impsoster Oaks Revenge.  Only if used with the above trainers.  It can be
a great card though.

That takes care of Trainer Control, let's move on to Pokemon:

1)  Taking care of Hitmonchan.  Chans can be the biggest pest, even when half
of the deck resists them, as with all Haymonsters.  If chans are really on
you, there is an easy answer...MP Mewtwo!  I was way under the control of
Hitmonchans, they were just ravaging the tourney I go to, then I made a
PsychoLectric Speed/Control deck, and Psyburned them to the great beyond to
get 1st.  They don't come around my parts anymore.

2)  Taking care of Scyther.  This can be bad, as Scyther is in almost every
deck.  A simple answer though...Fossil Magmar.  It won't be the best, since
Scyther can retreat, and rid itself of Smokescreen effects and Poison, but
you can get in some significant damage before the Scyther runs, making this
the best choice still.  Electabuzz, Mewtwo, most Haymonsters work, except
obviously for Chans.  Unless you play Fire decks, you won't rip a Scyther in
one hit very easily.  That's what makes him the most broken card in a Hay, or
any deck for that matter.

3)  Electabuzz.  Well, the most obvious solution to this would be Hitmonchan,
But go to a tourney relying on this Mike Tyson Wannabe, and expect to win a
big smack from people like me, delivered fresh by our Mewtwos and R.
Zapdos's.  The better bet these days I think is Gligar, by far.  Gligar just
rocks, you can get the same resistance to Fighting like Scyther, the No
Retreat Cost, and a nice set of attacks.  Plus, Gligar is common!  I traded
my Hitmonchans off, and bought 4 Gligars for about 25 cents apiece when Neo
hit the racks.  This is also good against cards like Rockets Zapdos, who
would tear down a chan, just poison them.  An Electabuzz will go in about 2
turns with a Gligar active, just keep some Super Energy Removals handy for
building Scythers.
4)  Mewtwo.  Well, every great card must fall.  Mewtwo is best taken down by
non Archetype cards.  Any Buzz, Scyther, Magmar, Gligar...Whatever, will
work.  I like Gengars, you can usually give them a painful slap, and most
likely knock it out with this Ghost.  Another Mewtwo will of course work, but
it can be tricky, you'll have to be a good board manipulator to work the
first hit in, and it will be worse, as most people who use Mewtwo will keep
control of the table.

I hope this has been educating, and I know these facts because I can beat
Haymakers any Day, the common Hay in the hands of a true professional is
really nothing if you have the right cards, I just use an Insanity deck that
controls and Manipulates my opponent and his deck.  It's just a collaboration
of 40 Trainers, and Some Pokemon that Work extremely fast, Just go first
against a Hay, and make sure to play a Lass at all expense, and the game is
yours.

Any Comments or flames can be sent to Badgersurf@aol.com
and my pet Blastoise will review it.
Also, if any one wants a deck tune up, and doesn't want to wait for no
responses from the mechanics here, I will respond to every submission, just
send it to me.
Thank you all!
