I think Arcanine IS better than TR Zapdos. First of all, Arcanine has 100HP, compared to 70HP for Zappy. Secondly, Arcanine's Take Down attack does 80 damage with 2 colorless and 2 fire and 30 to itself. That means that you can attach 2 Metal and 2 Fire energy, for 60 damage and NO damage to itself! Or you can attach 1 Metal and 3 Fire, for 70 damage and 10 damage to itself. The 10 damage will hardly harm Arcanine, after all he's got 100HP.

However, Arcanine does have its disadvantages. Its other attack is nowhere near TR Zapdos' attack for speed. Zappy's Plasma attack is simply awesome, while Arcanine's Flamethrower attack is too expensive and just delays the main attack, Take Down. Also, Rocket's Zapdos has got no weakness and resistance to fighting, while Arcanine's got weakness to water and no resistance. Lastly, as pointed out in the other article, Zappy is a basic, while Arcanine is an evolution.

So there you go? Which do you prefer? I think Arcanine's attack is better, but is also slower.
