This is Dragon Master. As promised, a strategy on Lt. Surge's Electabuzz. Lt. Surge's Electabuzz Lv. 29 of course. It was booted out of the game when Rocket's Zapdos hit the scene. Yet, it's still a good card. Charge will suck up needed Energy from the graveyard and then Discharge makes him a good Cleaner. Anyway, here's the deck, Power Surge. Power Surge: Pokémon(15): 2 Lt. Surge's Electabuzz Lv. 29 3 Chansey 3 Rocket's Zapdos 3 Cleffa(Neo Genesis) 2 Elekid 3 Igglybuff(Neo Discovery) Trainers(30): 3 Misty's Wrath 3 Professor Oak 3 Computer Search 3 Item Finder 3 Super Energy Removal 2 Gold Berry 3 Trash Exchange 2 Vermilion City Gym 2 Pokémon Trader 2 Scoop Up 2 Lass 2 Gust of Wind Energy(15): 13 Lightning Energy 2 Recycle Energy At first glance, this deck may seem bad, but it's not. The goal of the deck is to get a mix of Lightning Energy in the discard pile for Rocket's Zapdos and Lt. Surge's Electabuzz. The deck will take awhile to actually get the strategy rolling. The first thing to do is use Chansey as a decoy. While the deck is without Double Colorless Energy, you're not going to attack with Chansey, you're going to sit and stall while you build up other monsters. And in case you run into a Slowkrow or Occult/Sic Powers, Igglybuff is there for you to be able to Scoop Up Chansey. Another good thing to do first turn is use the infamous Cleffa/Lass combo to rid your opponent of a Trainer-filled hand and grab yourself a new and powerful hand. Igglybuff stops Trainer disrupting Pokémon Powers like Mind Games and Hay Fever. Elekid's Pokémon Power, Playful Punch, will serve you good use during the early game when Chansey sits and stalls. It will pound your opponent for 20 whenever you flip heads. Rocket's Zapdos is our 20-for-1 attacker, and Electroburn makes him a Cleaner choice. Just have that Gold Berry handy. I only included 2 Lt. Surge's Electabuzz(although the main part of the strategy)because if you see him early game, you'll scream and cry as your opponent thrashes you. That's why the 2 Pokémon Traders are in there. You can shuffle Surge's Buzz back into the library for something else. The Trainers(with a few exceptions)greatly resemble something you would see in a Feraligatr deck. Instead of maxing out on Misty's Wrath, Professor Oak, and Computer Search, I included 3 in there to make room for more Trainers. Misty's Wrath and Professor Oak are our card-drawers, and Computer Search holds the key to getting them. All of these cards and Item Finder also help to get Energy in the discard pile for Rocket's Zapdos or Lt. Surge's Electabuzz. Item Finder is also a very essential card in this deck because of what it does. Super Energy Removal helps get Energy in your graveyard and rids opponents of their Energy. But what if Ecogym comes in to negate it. Simple, counter it with Vermilion City Gym. This gym gives more of a punch to Lt. Surge's Electabuzz(or not if tails)and counters other gyms. The Traders help rid you of the chance of getting and keeping an early Surge's Buzz. Gust of Wind lets you go with the Cleaner flow. Scoop Up saves your Bait(Chansey), etc. Lass either Traps, Plans ahead, or restores your library. Having 13 Lightning Energy is enough when you look at the big picture and the 2 Recycle Energy are there in case you have no choice but to retreat Chansey or use the "free" Super Energy Removal method. I hope you like the deck, because it actually will work if used properly. If you like it, don't miss my next deck, Immortal, Armed, and Dangerous.
