"No one can like Modified, its all about the same cards being replaced by
other popular cards, and doesn't let you extend your creativity as it was in
Standard".  True, it has its haters, but I think this format isn't that bad.
It has its pluses, as it challenges Old School Players to think more. But
still people are going for the big boys first. Ferilgatr rules, and
Thyphlosion w/ Blaine's RK9 does quite well. Slowking, Steelix, and varities
of Rocket's Zapdos are played, but not as much as the first 2. I am here to
talk about the left overs from the big plate of Rocket On!....

1.) Dark Weezing - "He was never good, not powerful enough, and self
damaging". Wrong! With the upcoming of Ferilgatr, grass will rise up. He
isn't weak to fire, and besides Sabrina's Alakazam, psychic is rarely played.
Combo'ed with Brock's Ninetails, he can be doing 110 damage, while only doing
10 to each poke on the bench, by turn 2. Continue on Turn 3 with another
Metal, and an Erika's Kindness, he can continue to do 100 to anything that is
thrown at it, with no draw backs. Plus, he works well with Darkness energy!
His HP is low, but Focus Band and Metal can cure a small portion of that. You
can easily charge up another when the first dies, and another after that.
Nightly Garbage Run is a must, to get back those lost Koffings and Weezings.

2.) Donphan - Played somewhat at the ECSTS, but very rarely. His ability to
switch off to a Baby with a Focus Band is invaluable. He is better than Dark
Alakazam for his ability to get out smoother, and do more damage. He can
combo well with Slowking, or Chaos Gym. He might have a problem with Grass
and Double Gust, after seeing all those Ferils, people will build anti decks.
If the beating gets too high, and you need to get in that last 60, just
Flail. Only problem is inability to get out fast, his high retreat, and most
of all, the dreaded Double Gust.

3.) Koga's Tangela - Overlooked for a reason, bad HP, and even worst retreat.
But combo'ed with the right cards, could make a small impact. Koga is a must,
add him to the party, and Tangela does an automatic 10 + Poison + Sleep.
Also, bring in Rocket's Training Gym. Even if they do wake up, put them too
sleep before they try and retreat. Though the 10 damage won't do much, the
accumualating Poison will. To help with Retreat, add in a few Lt. Surges or
Warp Points/Double Gusts. Though it may seem like a waste of space, new age
cleaners could earn something from this simple combo.
