My favourite underrated cards In this list are ten cards I think that have been overlooked by everyone (except me, of course!) Here goes: 10. Dark Dragonair If you play Evolutions, you MUST play this card. To be able to find any Evoltion card you need during your turn is like drawing an extra card per turn. A must in Evolution-heavy decks. 9. Dark Dragonite Combos well with Dark Dragonair. Get the Evolutions, then get the Basics they need. The attack is a bit risky, but that is not the job of this Pokémon. 8. Omastar (Neo Discovery) This is incredible! Not only is it good in a Fossil deck, it's good in any Fighting or Water deck. Squeeze is great for the cost, and Spike Barrage can get silly. Run it with Kabutops for maximum effect... 7. Trash Exchange More people should play this. If you can't run more than two of a certain card in your deck, when you've used them both, use this to get them shuffled back into the deck. True, you could lose some valuable cards in the process, but you've got to take a risk sometimes, haven't you? 6. Fervor No-one seems to realise quite how deadly this is with Feraligatr (Lv. 69). If you discard three Energy cards using it, that's already 40 damage. And if you combine that with Feraligatr's Power, you've got a killer combo on your hands. Solid. 5. Koga's Ditto Even with Gust of Wind about, this card is still worth playing. Yes, Giant Growth might well require a coin flip, but it's worth it regardless. The chance to have 80 HP and a reliable 30-for-1 attack spells the end for opponents on turn two. 4. Blaine's Ninetales I think this is pretty good. The Power is excellent - removing 1 damage counter every time you attach an Energy is almost too good to be true. It more than makes up for its lowly 60 HP, and the attack - a 50-for-2 might lose you your Energy, but it's worth attaching more to heal it! Should certainly get more play than it's currently getting. 3. Brock's Diglett The perfect card to combo with Transparent Walls, this Diglett KO's Wigglytuff on turn two, with a REALLY solid 40-for-2 attack. Yes, it damages your Bench, but, like I said, you should play it with Transparent Walls, shouldn't you? 2. Sabrina's Gengar (Gym Heroes) There's a bit of a Gym theme to this, isn't there? Combos well with its Fossil brother. Pain Amplifier puts a damage counter on all of your opponent's Pokémon with damage counters on it. If you use Curse before hand. though, it becomes even more deadly. Call of the Night is good if you need to shuffle a Colorless Pokémon back into your opponent's deck. And finally... 1. Dark Hypno This is my favourite overlooked card. No-one seems to realise what this can do against a Wigglytuff deck. Your opponent flips a coin for each of his or her Benched Pokémon, and does 20 damage times the number of tails, for three Energy. What makes this card so good, though? You don't have to apply Weakness and Resistance! This makes it almost as good as Dark Alakazam! The only problem is the 60 HP, but with an attack as deadly as Bench Manipulation, nothing else matters! Please try it - it is better than you think! Graham Humphrey grahamhumphre14@hotmail.com I'll be back with another combo soon! (Hopefully) Bye and Enjoy! _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
