Dear trainers, This article is intended to discuss how much of the factor luck - coin flips may affect the actual game. For instance, I lost the tournament last Friday because my opponent Jason flipped 3 heads with Tyrogue. He killed my two of my Jigglypuffs, and my Electrabuzz (Pluspower) in three consecutive turns. Then, of course, he has more than enough time to set up his Sneasel to finish off the game. All right. I personally HATE coin flips. Thus, the Babies gives me quite a headache. Yes, Babies can be an effective stalling force (especially Cleffa) if you ran out of options. Flip one TAILS, and you give your opponent many new options to potentially beat you. How to deal with Babies - 1) Coin flip technique - Well, a rigged coin will certainly favor you and the opponent (I suspect some coins can be rigged, but unless they are apparent, no one can do much about this.) I've watched a KCET video on how to cheat on coin flips, dice rolls, etc. by doing them in a certain way (no JOKE!). If I could find it, I'll try to attach this or share this with everyone. 2) Don't trust the opponent's coin - This sounds extremely stupid, but you know your coin. So, trust your coin. Your opponent's coin can be slightly rigged or "jinxed". The Lugia's coin is one of those coins I object and make my case to the judges. 3) MOST IMPORTANT - Take the KO!! Yes, the coin flips don't go into my favor (based on experience), but if they are losing, they would still LOSE. Chances are, they'll have to play someone else as the attacker that is not a baby. Babies are generally weak attackers. If they are gonna catch up to you, they'll have to bring in someone else. Also, you'll eventually Gust of Wind the non-baby Pokemon as well. So, just go for the KO. Hopefully, this article will relieve some of the coin flip "nightmares" if you have any. Thanks for reading this article.
