I have noticed a frequent error in strategies involving, and use of,
Ecogym.

Stadium Card
 This Card stays in play when you play it.  Discard this card if another
Stadium Card comes into play.
 Whenever an attack, Pokémon Power, or Trainer card discards ANOTHER
PLAYER'S non-colorless Energy from a Pokémon, Return that Energy card to
its owners hand.  (Energy cards that are discarded when that Pokémon is
knocked out don't count.)

 The error to which I refer is that people think it will save their
Energies if they use, for example, Charizard’s Fire Spin.  It will not.
The card specifies that the other player must cause you to discard
energies.  You attack of your own free will; your opponent doesn't make
you attack.
