Hi, this is Dragon Master. I have a report today on how Rocket's Moltres is usable in today's game. Rocket's Moltres promotes a new type of advantage we call active stall. It's a type of advantage where you beat out and fend off while stalling, hence the name. Rocket's Moltres and Entei are 2 cards, both of which are very good at this. Rocket's Moltres has the Rebirth Pokémon Power, which is evil enough in a count of 1, but in a count of 3, you just don't wanna know your opponent after he/she is frustrated enough. It also has the Fire Wall attack, which does 40 damage and if your opponent is hurt enough, he/she will not attack unless he/she can deal with an additional 10 damage. Entei's Bolt Pokémon Power is 50/50, but it can stall while you beat up and fend off, also known as Active Stall, with its Protective Flame attack. Well, here's a deck in which it would be useful: Immortal, Armed, and Dangerous Pokémon(15): 3 Rocket's Moltres 3 Cleffa(Neo Genesis) 2 Entei 3 Magmar(Fossil) 2 Igglybuff(Neo Discovery) 2 Elekid Trainers(30): 4 Professor Oak 4 Computer Search 3 Item Finder 3 Gold Berry 3 Scoop Up 3 Energy Flow 3 Focus Band 1 Chaos Gym 2 No Removal Gym 2 Nightly Garbage Run 2 Gust of Wind Energy(15): 13 Fire Energy 2 Recycle Energy The goal of this deck is to promote Active Stall using Rocket's Moltres and Entei. At first glance, it may seem like a complicated deck to use, but it's really an easy deck once you get the hang of it. Rocket's Moltres is our main Active Staller. With No Removal Gym, he can use his Rebirth Pokémon Power when he gets Knocked Out and his Fire Wall attack at the same time. Cleffa is there as a utility card to use when you need a better hand. I know 2 Entei seems like a bit much, but when you look at it, it's actually useful. Entei's Bolt Pokémon Power combos well with Focus Band so that you can ensure Entei won't take a fatal hit most of the time so you can use and abuse Bolt. Protective Flame and No Removal Gym also work good together since Protective Flame will dish out a lot of damage and protect your Bench, which is abusable with Chaos Gym to prevent Gusting sometimes. If you need to counter Chaos Gym, here's where No Removal Gym comes in. Magmar is just abusable in any old Fire deck. Smokescreen stalls(Active Stall) and Smog will dish damage and Poison. Igglybuff is good in a count of 2 to stop other Pokémon Powers like Hay Fever or Mind Games. Elekid is there because he is needed in just about every deck with not-so-fast Pokémon like Entei and Rocket's Moltres. Professor Oak, Computer Search, and Item Finder all promote the same advantages as before. Gold Berry does as well, but since this is an Active Stall deck, Gold Berry is there to keep some of the beef away from the Pokémon. But, be careful how you use it. Scoop Up and Energy Flow are essential to this deck's design because of the Active Stall method. When you look at your opponent's play area and you see that Rocket's Moltres or someone else is almost Knocked Out, use Energy Flow to retrieve their Energy and then Scoop them Up. Chaos Gym is there early so your opponent's Trainers can wind up helping you. No Removal Gym counters your Chaos Gym and protects your Pokémon from Energy Denial most of the time. Gust of Wind supports Active Stall and is used for the other same purposes. Focus Band combos well with Entei to give Entei a chance not to be Knocked Out so you can use Bolt. Nightly Garbage Run, Cleffa, Focus Band, and Entei all support Active Stall. In the end, your opponent will either deck or you'll collect all the prizes. Fire Energy is there for the obvious reasons and Recycle Energy is there in case you are in need of an efficient retreat or to use on your Cleffa. This way, if Cleffa takes a fatal hit, it's gone, but the Recycle Energy comes back. Like I've said before and forgot to mention last time, this is an idea. Change it to fit your style of play and tell me how you like it. And if you liked this deck, don't miss my next deck, Grow Up Or Meet Your Doom! Well, that's about it. P.S.: As always, keep all e-mails clean, no hate mail or viruses, and a new rule, I don't want to hear anymore newbie talk about how I have too many Trainers and I need lots of Energy in my deck. If you look at the deck closely, you newbies will see that I have enough Energy in it.
