Alright, in response to Mothboy's analysis of SI Mew, stating that Rainbow Energy can not be used BY ITSELF to attack any color of your choice, let's look at the OFFICIAL WOTC TEAM COMPENDIUM ruling: >Q. If I just have a Rainbow Energy on Southern Islands Mew, will that >pay for both the P attack cost and also allow me to choose another >color of Pokemon to do the damage to? >A. Yes. But you only do damage to one type of Pokemon. Rainbow counts >as all types but only provides one energy. You choose what type of >Pokemon you want to do damage to when you use this attack with Rainbow >Energy attached. (Aug 9, 2001 WotC Chat, Q233 & Q286 & Q345) (taken from http://pkcompendium.hypermart.net/ ) This is an official ruling. Rainbow energy can both pay for the psychic cost, as well as then act as all types of energy because of the timing. You never "decide to make rainbow energy one type for the rest of your turn." It is always ALL ENERGIES, however it can only fill one energy slot in the cost of an attack. End debate, this is it. -JD Gloom blitzpx@home.com
