Welcome to Jsc’s Junker!

Hi, my name is Jsctoyboy2.  This is the 4th installment of Jsc’s Junker! The ghetto fake pojo deck mech for your trouble shooting needs.

First I will tell your about my rating system of a card it will be 0 to 5.

This is a 5 out of 5. Perfect card in almost every way!

This is a 4 out of 5. Good card and reliable, above average!

This is a 3 out of 5. Ok card, useable, average card.

This is a 2 out of 5. Not a very good card, but might be good later.

This is a 1 out of 5. Meaning this card stinks. Put it back in the pack and send it to wizards.

Now lets get to the stuff you came here for, my pick of the pokemon card of the day. Is………..*Honks his car horn*

Strategies with Steelix…

Are stall with some other pokemon like cleffa, Rockets Zapdos, Electabuzz, and Sneasal. Use many gust of winds, switches, super scoop ups, energy charge, and ecoa gym to prevent them from removing your energies from steelix. If they do you try to get it back. This card is good but the big problem is there are no good Onixes. There are base, and neo base onix is 90hp but not very good moves, and neo onix is sometimes good at stalling but 60 hp! If the vending Onix were out Steelix would be used much more. We will have to wait what Wizards will bring with its “Cross Trainer packs.”

 Good Combos with Steelix

Are of course abuse the big hp, use Gold Berries, Super potions, and Potion energy. The metal energies are almost annoying if you use them correctly! Make sure you have ITEM FINDERS to get back those Gold Berries. Do you know whose good with steelix??? Fossil Gastly it’s 2nd move ‘Energy Conversion’ can get you up to “2” energy cards that means 2 of whatever you need at the time, works also with sneasal decks. This card is very good. Not even sneasal can knock out steelix in one hit. (Maybe if they are really lucky)

How to Counter Steelix?

Ok this is why people might not use steelix as much because he is a stage 1 needs at least 2 turns to power up, big retreat. Sneasal deck can be powered up quicker and could get out a slowking or power up another main pokemon. Super Energy removal just destroys steelix, here is a good tip if you get in trouble with a steelix deck make sure you can poison it or confuse it with a rocket’s oddish, koffing, dark gloom, gligar can all easily do a status effect to steelix and with 4 energy to retreat? Forget about it! The person will have to scoop up or switch to save the energies and that steelix.

Rating?

I give this Card a  4 out of 5  ****

Ok I must admit this is a good card but when later in the road when future sets come out don’t be surprised if fire decks come popping out. At that time I would give this card a 1. For now this card is good even though it doesn’t have a strong basic to keep it stable. At most steelix could be setup twice in a game. Most people could get out 2-3 powered up sneasals before they go down for the count.
