Re: Sticking Up For the Little Guys (04/04/01)
Howdy everyone! Today I'm writing in agreement with Doll (with sidenotes to <a
href="http://pojo.com/TCGStrategies/April2001/4h.htm">Scummy Rat's
Strategy</a>).

I do agree that exploring new areas instead of bashing old ones in much more
productive, but you'll need more accurate combos (or card spoilers).
[FYI: EcoGym allows non-colorless energy removed by opponents effect to be
returned to your hand. Gastly and Slowpoke both have attacks where _you_
discard the cards in order to have the effect of the attack.]

If Wizards ever make may Trainer card I sent in on the "make-a-card" thingie,
then maybe there will be hope for Base Gastly yet.
[Note: My Trainer was.. Taunt: Choose and discard a card from your hand. If
you do, during your opponent's next turn, they cannot end their turn without
an attack. If they are not able to attack, this part of the effect does
nothing. ]

Most of the available cards in English get analyzed before they are even
printed. When you can't find anymore combos look in the
next-to-be-released-in-English set to try and be the first one there. When the
set comes out, be sure to double check your combos in case Wizards decide to
make it weaker or different for some reason. Even then, you might want to get
your hands on a spoiler for sets when they first get released in Japan. Then
you can feel as though you "discovered" the combo before anyone else has a
chance!

I hope this has been an enlightenment for those of you considering posting
with Card Tips. If Doll could allow me, I would love to leave comments on
articles with slightly incorrect stratigies if they didn't want to do so their
selves. (It hurt to see kids use these false tips as rules when your playing
=/)

[Editor's Note: Sure, if there are any strategies that are illegal, feel free to respond to them in a Re: letter... be sure to include the title and date of the incorrect strategy   ~ Doll]

Oh well, thanks for your time!
