hey pojo! luv the site ^_^   i'm writing in response to what daniel p. said
about having to discard 2 dce after using charizard's fire spin which is
wrong.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------

"That is the point I am trying to get across.  You MUST discard the energy
cards.  They can be 2 Fire, 2 DCE, or 1 Fire and 1 DCE.  It doesnt matter;
but it has to be 2 cards.  If everyone will either learn this now, or stop
playing charizard :P"

that is exactly what you stated in your article; but it is incorrect and this
is why:

"It doesnt matter; but it has to be 2 cards" that is what you say, but it
does matter, it has to be 2 energy, not 2 cards. and if you read the card
itself, it says discard 2 fire energy in order to use this attack and a dce
is equal to 2 energy of any type.  therefore, if you discard 1 dce, it will
be the same as discarding 2 energy of any type (in this case fire).

and if discarding energy should be the same as paying retreat costs, then
look at this:

"suppose your pokemon has a retreat cost of 2 energy and has 2 fire energy
and 1 dce attached.  you can pay the retreat cost in several ways-by
discarding dce, by discarding 2 fire energy, or by discarding first the fire
energy and then the dce. you can't discard all 3 cards though."

this is proof that you were wrong and your opponent was right
