Welcome, today we will be discovering the vast world of the new pokemon
expansion fossil. My name is Jared the Explorer guy, and I'll be your host.
Don't forget your hardhats and pick-axes and watch out for wild Ekans!

Here we go...

1-EKANS- A fairly good basic, especially for his 2nd attack! His first
attack is ok and great to use while you pumping up for his 2nd attack it
lets you poison the opponent if you flip a heads, but it does no damage. His
2nd attack is great, for 1 grass and 1 colorless it does 20 and can
paralyze!

2-ARBOK- Very nice with his first attack for 1 grass is just like whirlwind
but you need to flip a coin for it to work. His next attack is what's lethal
for 2 grass and a colorless you do 20 damaage and instantly poison!

3-RAICHU- Great for bench dissruption! This lil guy packs a punch with Giga
Spark, it does 30 damage for 4 Lightning plus you SELECT three pokemon to
give 10 damage to!

4-SANDSLASH- This Stage 1 really isn't worth it, it's decent but nothing
speacial. For 2 Colorless it does Tackle for 20 and for 2 Fighting it does a
possible 20 damage (if you flip 2 heads).

5-ZUBAT- I love this guy, Supersonic waves costs 2 colorless to attempt to
confuse the opponent, next up is Leech Life which is just like Venonats. So
confuse the opponent and then regain any HP you may have lost with Leech
Life!

6-GOLBAT- Another weak yet good Stage 1, he has wing attack for 3 colorless
which does 30 and a better Leech Life for 2 grass and one colorless, it does
20.

7- PSYDUCK- I love his first attack! Headache doesn't let the opponent use
trainers! This will keep those ER's off your back for awhile. He also has
Fury Swipes which is just like Nidoran(Female)'s.

8- GOLDUCK- This guy's got potential! You can stall for a bit with power of
the mind which costs 1 psy. Then unleash Hyper Beam, which is just like
Dragonairs but for 3 energy!!

9- TENTACOOL- I suppose he could be used for stalling but in my opinion he's
not worth it. He has a power that's basiclly like a scoop-up that can only
work on Tentacool and 30HP plus get this... FOR ONE WATER HE DOES 10
DAMAGE!! THRILLING EH?

10-TENTACRUEL- Don't even go through the trouble to evolve this guy, he has
supersonic for 1 water you know what that does. The for 2 water he does 10
and poisons the opponent. His second attack is decent and he has the power
to confuse and poison the opponent...hmmm maybe I was wrong.

11- GEODUDE- Interesting, if you feel lucky throw him out, his attack does
10X as many heads as you can flip. But once you flip a tails it's all over,
I highly doubt this attack would go more then 30 though even 30 would be
very rare. But he does have 50HP so give em a shot.

12- GRAVELER- He can stall until you get golem out with harden (just like
Onix's) or do rock throw which is a good deal, 2 Fighting and 1 Colorless
and does 40 dmg.

13- GOLEM- I think he'll be under-estimated. Look at this though, first of
all he can take out one or two pokemon with Boulder that does 60 damage for
3 Fighting and 1 Colorless. Then right before he dies call out Self Destruct
as your last shot, which is just like Magnetons only it does a whopping 100!

14- SLOWPOKE- Pretty much crap, he has an attack which lets you try to flip
a heads if you do you get to remove a damage counter from Slowpoke. His
other attack could be put to use but I wouldn't waste a prize for it, you
have to discard an energy card to search your discard pile for any Trainer
card.

15- SLOWBRO- His power is like Damage Swap only all the damage has to go to
Slowbro, this could be used to heal your pokemon and then you could try to
keep Slowbro on the bench. But is it worth deck space? I don't think so.
Psychic is decent, it does 20 damage and can paralyze the opponent.

16- MAGNETON- Magneton's bigger and... badder? He hasn't gained any HP but
he has Sonic Boom which does 20 and isn't effected by Weakness or
Resistance. In my mind it's basiclly just like doing 20 damage, beacause not
only will it not be effected by resistance it won't be effected by WEAKNESS
EITHER. He also has Self Destruct which is just like Golem's.

17- GRIMER- His first attack only does 10 for 1 colorless. But for 1 grass
you can reduce damage that Grimer takes by 20. That would be great for
getting the powerful Muk out!

18- MUK- One of the cards that will make a huge impact on the world of
pokemon, Muk is the famous Aerodactyl buster! His Pokemon Power doesn't
allow any other pokemon to use pokemon powers INCLUDING YOURS. Be careful
with this guy, beacause once you put him on the bench, or in the active spot
you can't turn his power off, unless he gets K.O'd. His attack isn't half
bad either it does 30 for 3 grass and can poison the opponent!

19- SHELLDER- He kinda sucks, with 30HP but he's a fairly good staller, his
first attack is supersonic and he also has Withdraw which can prevent all
damage.

20- CLOYSTER- I kinda like him but it's a gamble. He has only 50HP so once
again he won't be around for long. His first attack can do 30 damage AND
paralyze the opponent if you flip a heads, if not you just waisted an attack
bud. Spike Cannon does 30X the number of heads, decent...decent.

21- GASTLY- You know the old Gastly to Haunter evo? I think it's price just
dropped to $0.5. Gastly sport a 10 damage/possible paralysis attack for 1
psy, and this is what's so good about him. If you do 10 damage to Gastly you
can take up to two energy cards from your discard pile and add them to your
hand! You deffinatley won't have an energy shortage for Haunter and Gengar!

22- HAUNTER- His pokemon power is a free sand-attack that does no damage!
This will keep him safe while he puts the defending pokemon to sleep with
Nightmare which for a psy and colorless energy does 10 damage and makes the
opponent fall asleep.

23- GENGAR- Another pokemon that has set new standards, his power lets you
move 1 damage counter from one of your opponent's pokemon to another! This
could K.O an opponent, or make use of un-needed damage, just swap it to the
bench! What I mean by un-needed damage is like when you do 30 damage to a
50HP pokemon, you can afford taking 10 damage off that pokemon beacause
he'll still be K.O'd next turn. His next attack lets you do even more damage
to the bench it does 30 and lets you do 10 damage to a benched pokemon, for
3 psy.

Well we end at that, I would go on but I fear one of my comrades has been
bit by an Ekans, he could be paralyzed so I guess we better take him to the
local Pokemon Center, errr Hospital. What? You say you want to hear about
Aerodactyl, Zapdos, and Moltres? Be patient all in good time!

Hello there, glad you're still with us. We are know going to journey into
the deepest and most unknown part of the Fossil expansion. Here we will
learn about some of the best basics ever to come out in the game of pokemon.

We left off at #23 Gengar, we'll start with...

24- HYPNO- The long awaited Drowzee evo Hypno has some potential, one of his
attacks allows you to look at the top three cards of your opponent's deck
then change the order of them to your preference. This is great for energy
denial decks, as you can keep has energy shortage going for a long time
three turns at max, all this for only 1 psy energy. He also has an attack
just like Gengar's it does 30 and you can do 10 to one of the benched PKMN.

25- KRABBY- A decent basic with 50HP and a 20 dmg. attack for 1 water and a
colorless. He also has the llousy Call for friend which lets you add another
Krabby to your bench.

26- KINGLER- After a 10HP upgrade Kingler gets a rage like attack (10X the
number of damage counters) and Crab Hammer which deals out a nice 40 damage
for 2 water and a colorless, not bad.

27- HITMONLEE- Oh yeah you'll be seeing him in just about every other
haymaker you play. His first attack lets him do 20 damage to one benched
pokemon for 2 fighting, use that while you power up for his next attack that
does a whopping 50 for only 3 fighting! He's very versitile as he can attack
that Blastoise building up on the bench, or take out the Chansey stalling
for him!

28- WEEZING- Not that great but, OK. For 2 grass he does 20 and possibly
poisons then for another colorless you can do explosion which does 60 damage
to the opponent and KO's Weezing, almost forgot it does 10 to all the
benched ppls.

29- HORSEA- The exact replica of Sandshrew only a water type. Horsea has
Smokescreen which is exactly like Sand-attack, but also this basic sports a
free retreat.

30- SEADRA- Pretty good for rain dancers, he has Water Gun for a water and
colorless, it does 20 damage and I think you know the rest of the attack.
Also Seadra has agility for 1 water and 2 colorless, so he can work as a
staller or damage dealer.

31- MAGMAR- This has got to be the strangest mix of attacks I've ever seen.
Like his older version he's great for haymakers, his first attack is
smokescreen (just like sand-attack) for 1 fire, next comes smog, which does
20 and can posion for 2 colorless...where'd poison come from and since when
can Magmar gas up a room?

32- LAPRAS- Absolutley perfect for haymakers, I'm almost sure Lapras will be
overlooked. Start out with water gun which costs one water and does 10 plus
10 more for every water energy you have on Lapras  (the one after 2nd
doesn't count as usual), he also has confuse ray which is great, for 2 water
it does 10 and can confuse. This'll give you time to pump up Lapras' water
gun, the best thing? 80HP

33- DITTO- Wow, kinda like the Mr. Mime of Fossil Ditto is awesome against
heavy hitters. His power lets him transform into your opponent's pokemon
he's an exact copy of the card you copy. But remember you can't put any evo
cards on em, but the best thing about this is you can do it from the bench!
Imagine a Fire/Water deck, if you transform into one of his strong water
pokemon you're deffinatley going to have the upper hand!

34- OMANYTE- One of the 3 pokemon that evolves from Mysterious Fossil, this
card is like a free lass! With his pokemon power your opponent has to show
you his hand, this can really help you analyze his strategy. He also has
water gun which starts at 1 water and can do up to 30 damage.

35- OMASTAR- His water gun costs an extra colorless but can do up to 40, he
also has spike cannon which does 30X the number of heads you can flip with
two coins. Oh one of the strange things about Omanyte and Omastar is their
weakness to grass, rare in a water pokemon.

36- KABUTO- His pokemon power cuts the damage he receives in half, but it
won't do you too much good as he has only 30HP. He has a crappy Scratch for
1 colorless that does 10, but Kabutops is worth all this trouble. My advice?
Keep Kabuto on the bench at all times.

37- KABUTOPS- He's hard to get but well worth it, for just two fighting he
does a flat out 30 damage, after you save up 2 more fighting you can do
absorb which does 40 and you can remove a number of damage counters equal to
half the amount of damage dealt. Very nice.

38- AERODACTYL- I'm sure you already know about him, he's going to change
the pokemon world forever. I'm almost sure he'll be banned or they'll put a
limit on him soon enough in tourneys. His power is simply amazing, just
remember like Muk you can't turn his power off and it will prevent your own
pokemon from evolving too, so use basics!

39- ARTICUNO- Clearly one of the best basics that will ever be released!
First off he has no weakness and a resistance to fighting, then for 3 water
you can do 30 damage and posibly paralyze the opponent, very nice compared
to ol' Snorlax's 4 colorless. Then listen to this, it's a slight gamble but
for 4 water you can do Blizzard which does 50 to the defending pokemon and
if you flip a heads 10 damage to EACH of your opponent's benched pokemon, if
tails it does 10 to each of your benched. There's only one weak point to
Articuno, which can be avoided, 70HP.

40- ZAPDOS- Another bench devistator, teamed up with Defenders his attack is
great! It does 40 damage to the defending and for each of your opponent's
benched pokemon you flip a coin, if you flip a heads you do 20 damage to
that benched, tails? You do 10 damage to Zapdos, so be careful.

41- MOLTRES- His first attack is simply amazing for stall decks, it lets you
discard as many fire energy cards as you like from moltres then the opponent
has to discard that many cards from his deck! Teamed up with damage swap
you'll keep your opponent's deck very low on cards! His second attack isn't
worth 4 energy it does 80 IF you flip a heads, I would never gamble 3
turns...

42- DRAGONITE- I donnu about this guy I think he's farily good, but not for
a stage 2. His power is basicly like using a switch card only you have to
replace your active with Dragonite, pretty nice. His attack does 40X the
number of heads you flip with two coins, a good attack but once again not
worth a Stage 2 stick with Dragonair.

43- Trainer:MR. FUJI- Just like a scoop up but with restrictions the pokemon
you use Mr. Fuji on has to be on the bench, but instead of adding the basic
pokemon to your hand you shuffle it into your deck. This could be used in
some strategies, such as keeping your hefty Stage 2 from being K.O'd by a
bench based attack.

44- Trainer:MYSTERIOUS FOSSIL- If you like Clefairy Doll, it's much easier
to get now. Mysterious Fossil is exactly like it only it's a common, and
Aerodactyl, Kabuto, and Omanyte can evolve from it.

45- Trainer:RECYCLE- A very useful card, if you're lucky. You need to flip a
heads in order to add any card from your discard pile to the top of your
deck. This is much better then Item Finder as you can search for pokemon!

46- Trainer:ENERGY FORWARD- A trainer with a basic use, here's somethin for
those haymakers out there! It allows you to add 1 energy card to your hand
just like that no coin flips no nothin. A great way to get out of droughts
or to get some quick energy!

47- Trainer:GAMBLER- I donnu I think it's too much of a gamble. You have to
put your hand back into your DECK note that you don't discard it. Then if
you flip a heads you can draw 8 cards, if tails you draw one. If you only
draw one you can still get your other cards back but they could be on the
bottom of the deck.

Well that's that, you've finished your expedition and I hope you've
learned more strategies for this great world known as Fossil! I'm returning
to my studies now, this is Jared the Explorer Guy signing off...
