The Idea for this deck first began with my obsession to make a "Good" T2, Red/White deck. I did eventually come up with a few good variations, but they really didn't have the consistency I wanted against control. So I tried White/Black since it had several good cards against control, including Duress and Gerrard's Verdict, but it ended up becoming too controlling, and not consistent enough for my liking. So with a copious amount of thinking, probably about 5 minutes, I remembered "Fervent Charge" a card that seemed useless, since there were currently no good Black/White/Red decks. So I set out on a courageous journey to create a "GOOD" Fervent Charge deck, witch I profoundly call "Charge"

CHARGE

Land

4 Urborg Volcano

3 Battlefield Forge

3 Caves of Koilos

4 Plains

4 Swamp

4 Mountain

Creatures

4 Goblin Legionnaire

4 Spectral Lynx

4 Chimeric Idol

3 Flametongue Kavu

2 Pyre Zombie

Spells

4 Duress

4 Gerrard's Verdict

4 Vindicate

Enchantments

4 Fervent Charge

3 Squee's Embrace

2 Phyrexian Arena

Sidebord

4 Urza's Rage

4 Wrath of God

4 Void

3 Voice of All

Now To explain the cards I used:

Goblin Legionnaire - THE best creature card printed in AP, but highly underplayed since its RW, witch is a highly underplayed color.

Spectral Lynx - Not to much explaining here, he can stop Spiritmongers, is a Trump card against Green, and nice against burn as well.

Chimeric Idol - I'm going to be sad to see these leave T2, good in basically every deck without Rashidan Ports

Flametoung Kavu - Spot Removal, a fatty and also an excellent combination with Squee's Embrace

Pyre Zombie - I'm still playtesting these, but there mainly for control

Duress - Nice against fires, great first turn drop against blue, all around good card

Gerrard's Verdict - Excellent card against Blue, life is always nice, when combined with Duress on first turn, very devastating

Vindicate - No Explanation Needed

Fervent Charge - Don't people just love attacking with little regenerating 4/3's and 6/5's on the fith turn

Squee's Embrace - Various Usees in this deck, great when combined with Goblin Legionnaire and Flame Toung Kavu

Phyrexian Arena - Card advantage is always good, especially in a beatdown deck

The sidebord is currently tuned to my metagame, so I won't go into explaining those cards.

I've been tuning this deck, the way I have it now is set up for my metagame, depending on your metagame you may want to add these cards

Terminate

Void (Main deck)

Last Breath

Phyrexian Scuta (The only reson I don't play these, is my metagame has alot of bounce, witch dosent go very well with Scuta, but he would be perfect in any other metagame)

(Blah Blah Blah…)

I have high expectations for this deck after Odyssey is released, as many of you may have seen a card named "Seize the Day":

Seize the Day
3R
Sorcery
Rare
Untap target creature. After this phase, there is an additional combat phase followed by an additional main phase.
Flashback 2R
(You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.)

When Combined with Fervent Charge:

Fervent Charge

1BWR

Enchantment

Whenever a creature you control attacks, it gets +2/+2

Your little 2/1’s become 4/3’s then 6/5’s when they attack the second time around. When you start looking at this, the future of Fervent Charge becomes VERY bright. Especially if you begin to shift more towards Red/White, playing with Sera Angels (Attacking doesn’t cause them to attack, so they can attack twice using Seize the Day) and Relentless Assault.

So it’s ALL dependent on what Odyssey throughs at us, singe AP didn’t give us any good red creatures, I chose not to focus on red as much in my current "Charge" deck, thus the reason I’m not playing with Relentless Assault.
