frozensnake_@hotmail.com Single Card Strategies Name : Kim Wahlman Sets: Urza's Saga, Urza's Destiny, Judgement, Odyssey MAIN card: Angelic Chorus (Saga) Mirari's Wake (Judgment) This is a singel card strategy that u can built out many ways! For exampel! You have Angelic Chorus on the field, and have full healt of near full. And ju draw a card and card is nothing more then Serra Avatar (Saga) !!! You look at you mana and see you need twice as many lands to realease your beats, well your next draw is Mirari's Wake (Judgment) alot cheeper, you put it in play! Woho! every creature you have get +1/+1 and each land produce 1 more mana! That means if you tap 4 lands you get eight mana of the color of the land!! You can now play Serra Avatar! You have 15 life and put the beast in play! Angelic Chorus gives you 15 life! Now you have 30, and a 30/30 creature! Well that aint nothing it's just 1 very strong creature? Well i hope u have a Brawn (Judgment) in play! Attack with Brawn and Serra Avatar, if you lucky Brawn is killed! And all you creature has Trampler. I think your opponent are getting a bit nervous! 1, 30/30 with trample. Time to make him more nervous! Put another Serra Avatar in play! Angelic Chorus gives you 30 in life!!! well I feel bad, you now have 2, 60/60 with trample! Hmm... i think u can win now! Next Example we will use Angelic Chorus, Mirari's Wake and some wurms! You have Angelic Chorus in play, and play Roar of the Wurm (Odyssey) Angelic Give you 6 in life and you get a 6/6 Wurm Token in play, well 1, 6/6 token aint much?! Well after some time you might draw a Grizzly Fate (Judgment), you play it and get 2, 2/2 Bear tokens you gain 4 life the next card you draw is a Crush of Wurms (Judgment) hey how perfekt! You play it and put 3, 6/6 tokens in play! You gain 18 life! Now you have 4, 6/6 tokens and 2, 2/2 tokens. That aint much, i hope you have some more of these cards! Well we say you get 1 more of each of them and play them, then you will have 8, 6/6 tokens and 4, 2/2 tokens. You play the Flashback and get 16, 6/6 tokens and 8, 2/2 tokens. Now you have a great defense against land creature but how about air? Well they can't bother you. Now you get a Parallel Evolution (Judgment) in hand and play it, you get 1 token of the same for each token you have in play WOW!!! You will now have 32, 6/6 tokens and 16, 2/2 tokens!! Hmm... and alot of life, told u that thoese birds can't harm u! You have 32, 6/6 tokens and 16, 2/2 tokens, about time to play something that give u trample? How about Brawn? You get a 3/3 token 3 more in life and a chanse for trample, But what ever who can block 32, 6/6 and 16, 2/2??? NONE :) And the best is Parallel Evoulution has flash back and it aint so hard to get 4 of them :) Mirari's Wake is a bit harder! AND i have it in FOIL :D i was very happy when i got it :) Hmm... now you looking for ways to brake this combo? Well blue counterspells deck is a pain in the butt, u will have too play the cards when he have MAX 1 land to tap for mana! In the example with Serra Avatar u can also include Elvish Piper (Destiny) top get your Serra Avatar out for 1 green mana!!! Cool :D I use both combos in my deck :) but i need more Mirari's Wake(3), and Parallel Evolution (3), Roar of the wurm (2-3), Serra Avatar (2), Angelic Chorus (2) and 2 Crush of the wurm In BOTH of these combos u can use Test Of Endurance (Judgment)! It's very usefull ;) Now the text from the cards! (Here u will understand why Mirari's Wake is a very important card!) Mirari's Wake | 3GW Creatures you control get +1/+1. Whenever you tap a land for mana, add one mana to your mana pool of any type that land produced. Roar of the Wurm | 6G Put a 6/6 green Wurm creature token into play. Flashback {3}{G} (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.) Parallel Evolution | 3GG For each token creature, its controller puts a token into play that's a copy of that token creature. Flashback {4}{G}{G}{G} (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.) Crush Of the Wurm | 6GGG Put three 6/6 green Wurm creature tokens into play. Flashback {9}{G}{G}{G} (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.) Serra Avatar | 4WWW Serra Avatar's power and toughness are each equal to your life total. If Serra Avatar would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, reveal Serra Avatar, then shuffle it into its owner's library instead. Elvish Piper | 3G {G}, {T}: Put a creature card from your hand into play. Angelic Chorus | 3WW Whenever a creature comes into play under your control, you gain life equal to its toughness. Grizzly Fate | 3GG Put two 2/2 green Bear creature tokens into play. Threshold -- Instead put four 2/2 green Bear creature tokens into play. Flashback {5}{G}{G} (You may play this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then remove it from the game.) Brawn | 3G Trample As long as Brawn is in your graveyard and you control a Forest, creatures you control have trample. Test Of Endurence | 2WW At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 50 or more life, you win the game.
