Subject: Mirrodin+8th(Type II), Myr Tribal Well, the last time an artifact deck was playable was ... Urza's block? With the coming of mirrodin, i came up with this combo: Sage of Lat Nam/atog + 2 Myr retriever. (and a Vedalken Archmage if you need the cards) (Use sage's ability, sac a retriever, return one from the graveyard, draw, play the retriever, or, Sac retriever to atog. Return the retriever. Play it (and draw a card from archmage if u have it.) Sac it. Provided you have the mana, this will give you at least a 4/4 and an extra draw each turn. However, Atog is red and most artifact decks are blue based... Try this too: Myr Incubator + Coat of arms/Broodstar (self explanatory once you read the card.) So I came up with this decklist: Ma-Ma-Myr.dec 4 Silver Myr 4 Myr Retriever 4 Sage of Lat-Nam 4 Lodestone Myr 2 Broodstar 2 Vedalken Archmage 4 Urza's Tower 4 Urza's Power Plant 4 Urza's Mine 4 Seat of the Synod 1 Myr Incubator 2 Mind's Eye 1 Howling Mine 4 Myr Mindservant 4 Assert Authority 4 Mana Leak 1 Coat of Arms 2 Icy Manipulator 2 Aether Spellbomb 1 Myr Enforcer (hey, no basic land!) There is one problem with this deck - only 8 cards in this deck produce blue mana (silver myr x 4, Seat of the Synod x 4) so the double mana cost in Vedalken Archmage,Broodstar and Assert Authority may slow you down, but, in my playtest games (using proxies of course - if you haven't noticed, at the time of writing mirrodin was not yet released) only once out of ten times have i been mana 'screwed' as they call it. Try it. Anthony Chuah
