Article: Islandwalk has a few tricks of its own!

Multiplayer, yes multiplayer! Im sure some of you agree with me when I say, its good to have Fishliver oil! Yes, in fact it is! Common, cheap and you can probably get it off your little brother for a candy!

Why is it good to keep one in your sideboard?

You never know when you’re going to go up against Island Sanctuary!

Does it have any combo’s?

You bet! Its great in a low budget Assassin deck, with Merlfolk assassin you can take down his Krosan cloudscraper!

Why don’t I just get something like Excavator?

Are you kidding me? That sorry excuse for an artifact! Not only must you pay more, you have to sacrifice a land!

Fishliver oil is an enchantment! It’s vulnerable to white spells!

Well considering Fishliver Oil in a multiplayer sideboard… You shouldn’t have any problems with that, not much multiplayer players use those spells…about 25% at max!

What are the pros and cons of having Fishliver oil in your Library?

+  Blue is the second or third most used color in multiplayer, because of Stasis…

+  Costs less then making it unblockable.

+ Can outmaneuver one of the best multiplayer enchantments.

+ Who puts a Circle protection blue in they’re deck?

+ Can’t be blocked by the actual BIG blue creatures!

-  An enchantment (which can be fixed with Fountain Watch)

-  Not all blue creatures are big.

This will make your opponent think twice of putting Staff of Ages in his or her deck!

But Fishliver oil isn’t THAT amazing…the choice of putting it in your sideboard is tough. If you’re always playing with the same group of people, and if you think Islandwalk or any landWalk will come in handy, you should use it!

Blue VS Blue:

10 Island

11 Forest

4 Gainsay

4 Syncopate

4 Counterspell

4 Fyndhorn Elves

4 Elvish Spirit Guide

3 Carpet of Flowers

4 Scragnoth

4 Vexing Beetle

4 Kavu Chameleon

4 Blurred Mongoose

The point of the deck is to get some green mana out ASAP, then come in with big creatures that can’t be countered, Vexing beetle IS rare but easy to get. It can really hurt the opponent if he isn’t using any creatures. Don’t be afraid to get a little mana burn with Carpet of flowers, but only use one, of course. Elvish spirit guide is great in any deck to me! The counter spells are used when your opponent comes in with the big bang, stasis or whatever he or she is using…

And syncopate helps avoid mana burn from time to time.

I know, I know this deck doesn’t have Fishliver oil, but as I said, sideboard!

Blue VS Blue Sideboard:

4 Fishliver oil

3 Mana leak

4 Annul

4 Lone Wolf

The idea of lone wolf is just for safety, you can change the deck to a speedy one, or beatdown, there’s really no limit! And for all of you at home asking, not Psychatog! And why was a talking about multiplayer? Well the deck listed is very specific, Fishliver oil was meant to be in this kind of deck, in other words, its not casual play. And for multiplayer, quite simple, if you are playing team, you can have your teammates have a deck like this but of every color, this might help:

Blue: Creatures that can’t be countered.

Red: Goblins and mana burn.

Green: Massive beatdowns.

Swamp: -1/-1’s instead of damage. Creature kill.

White: Pure enchantments.

Im not quite sure about artifacts, only barbed wires and others like that to stall your opponent.
